Phil,
Will play this evening
Clay's miner is awesome - v4.0 6x RX 480 + CPU = 450H/s
Kinda cool!
Have you tried without CPU see if you get more sol/s ? And are those stock or modded? I'm going to bring down all 6 card rigs to 5. To get those higher sol/s And upgrade cpus eventually With the recent gains due to the new miner versions, I've decided to turn off my CPU miners and save the electricity. The shares from the CPU are no longer very efficient

Does anyone know what is going on with ZEC shares reporting on flypool? I was humming along all day yesterday averaging about 260-270 valid shares per bar on their bar graph belwo the hashrate average chart but today I wake up and check it and the last 6-7 bard have roughly been cut in half... so averaging only about 135 per bar. I've got the exact same average overall hashrate of about 220-240 that is was running at yesterday and same <1% stale shares.
Anyone know what this means? Is there a problem that will reduce profits per hour/day/etc? Or, is this another change in reporting made by flypool?
I've noticed the same thing. I had to go through each rig to confirm that all cards were indeed running FIRST:ATTENTION: We have deployed a new statistics module which aggregates submitted shares differently. It is normal that your total number of shares is now lower than previously. Earnings are not affected by this change! SECOND:Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner. ========================= Latest version v4.0: - improved speed by about 20% (depends on card model). Up to 100H/s on stock 390X on "-i 2" mode. - added "-retrydelay" option. - added "-nofee" option. - various bug fixes. - changed coloring. - EthMan: added "View miner console" command. Totally agree on the upgrade to 4.0! Now getting about 65 sols per RX 470 with it.
Regarding that message at flypool... it's been there for a couple of weeks already so not really sure it applied to the most recent drop. Not 100% i am calculating this right but yesterday I was getting .01 ZEC payout every 5-6 hours. My last payout was at 18:51... now its 21:00 and I have almost .003 ZEC but that includes about 15-20 of down-time while I was upgrading to v4.0... so, maybe it's ok.

Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner. =========================
Latest version v4.0:
UPGRADE!
Can't upgrade, no LINUX version and *ALL* of my AMD based machines are LINUX (as are some of the NVidia based machines, and I intend to get ALL of my miner machines moved to LINUX over the next couple months or less). Up side - with so much hashrate moved over to ZEC, along with a bit more "profit-chasing" and bouncing around, ETH profitability is quite a bit higher than 2 weeks back.

I just bought and received the Intel Core i5-4460S 2.9GHz 6M LGA1150 SR1QQ 65watt cpu.
I installed the nheqminer 0.3a and set my -t 3.
Question: What is the max for the -t for this processor?
I am getting 12.74 Sols/s right now with the -t set at 3.

In general, i5 desktop processors have 4 threads, and i7 processors have 8. This is the case with this CPU http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Core_i5/Intel-Core%20i5-4460S.html

big boost with claymore 4.0
7 cards = 395mh or about 56.5 H/s
<snipped>
Spent all night migrating entire farm to v4.... staggering results.... the farm now is nearly 6 KH/s -- it could have been more but I have retained the BIOS mods for 480s and Nanos since they perform maximum hash / power ETH mining on Claymore v7.3, to enable switching back to ETH at any time. I have disabled all CPU mining to support Claymore's CPU cycles required to drive the GPUs on v4 codes. What sorcery this Claymore miner, 480s mid-80s, Nanos mid 70s and 290/290x mid 70s H/s and 390s mid 80s H/s -- worth the dev fees

citronick - that is a solid number! thanks to Claymore -- ROI is quickened now - never imagined v4 helped increased the whole farm by 1+ KHs. power bill is also lower and temps is down 3-4c..... hard to go back to ETH now. Let's see how the Zcash craze last.... although I think Zcash is the answer to ETH POS... Taking advise from many senior miners out there whom have helped me along the way..... Any idea when ETH will go to POS? Sometime next year. It seems like development has been slowed by the attacks/forks. We're on step 2 of 4, where step 4 is PoS.

Any idea when ETH will go to POS? 1st half 2017 according to Vitalik..... but with the hard fork mess ... I doubt they will rush POS until ETH is fully stablized... ... I see ZEC dropping again below 200$.... exciting times this.

"never fall in love with the coin, its all about profitability and smart hedging" Looks like no chance of a Claymore v4 Linux miner and the other Linux miners including SA is still not up to my mark... vs Claymore. So I decided to remove ethOS from the production farm... kept Ubuntu and Ethos on test rigs Put more W10 with Claymore v4 to work (W10 on RX480 and Nano, 390s on Win7). Now farm is steady ... 7.5 K/h, with all the reboot and failover scripts working..... now I can go to bed.

hmmm... interesting points about Intel potentially impacting the price of ZEC to promote higher CPU sales. Certainly it is possible but AMD & NVidia would benefit much more from pumping ZEC right? Because most Intel CPUs will only provide about 50% hash-rate vs just 1 high end GPU... and you can of course build a rig with 4-6 GPUs, so the effective impact of the CPU on a mining rig for ZEC is only about 10% of the overall hash-rate. Still, I do think Intel could benefit from pumping/buying ZEC... I doubt AMD can afford to do much but maybe NVidia can afford to impact it a bit.
Well for now I have hash on ETH and ZEC. I sell my ETH and I am now holding my ZEC Interesting to hear that from you Phil. I'm doing the exact inverse, by auto-selling my ZEC and holding my ETH. May I have the reasons of such a choice ? well look at the market caps https://coinmarketcap.com/ Coin Name Total Value ------------ Coin price ------- Coins in Circ.....................Trading Volume 1 Bitcoin Bitcoin $11,567,723,856------ $724.46 ------- 15,967,308 ---- BTC $134,017,000 2.06% 2 Ethereum Ethereum $ 916,200,716--------------$10.68 ---- 85,800,241-------- ETH $ 14,541,600 -1.94% 40 Zcash Zcash $4,530,727------------------- $257.44--------- 17,599--------- ZEC -------$4,597,940 17.28% So If I am mining Zec with the coin at $257 how much does it take to boost it to $1000 maybe buying a few thousand coins . check the cap of 4.53 mill vs the volume of 4.59 million check eth cap of 916 mill vs volume of 14.54 mill Zec will be driven up in price at least 1 or 2 more times. Now I have 160H at zec and 400mh at eth and I fully sell my eth as it is not rare. Just a guess remember I thought Hillary was a lock. Interesting point of view, but here's how I see it : Ethereum is in a dip, so it can grow back. ZCash just profited from a last attempt to make price rise before sinking forever. It already had its recurrent pump. The marketcap of such a young coin (12 days !) isn't very revelant. The number of coins emission rate per day could be close to 2 or 3%, but surely more (I don't know th exact number, that's just the be sure that what I say is true, since going lower than 2% would be nonsense ). However, I might be totally wrong, so don't listen to me, nor anyone. The last time I made money was with Ethereum during the Great Pump, and I was very lukcy, because even selling at a price and buying back a few hours later at a loss, I won significant amount of money that permitted me to buy my little mining rigs . okay I am a bit tired had a long two days. but what is hash power on Zec? and what is hashpower on eth? I will look. https://etherscan.io/charts/hashrateI will get back to this but almost 8k was max it dropped to 4k and now is back to 5k I will break that down to 25mh gpus later tonight So 40 gpu = 1 gh 40000 gpu = 1k gh 160000 gpu = 4k gh So about 160000 gpu left eth and went to Zec And then some came back. So let's say 120000 gpu are doing Zec at 200 bucks a gpu that is 24,000,000 usd and coins are worth 6,000,000 Not to mention say 20,000 CPUs more like 100,000 CPUs. So say 200 a CPU that is 4,000,000 to 20,000,000 Worth of CPUs . And Zec coins are worth only six million. So eth maybe 40 million in gear mining with a market cap of 900 million plus. So Zec maybe 28 - 44 million in gear mining with a market cap of 6 million . AMD Nvidia Intel are worth over 70 billion. They would love to see Zec coin do well. Look at how much gear is mining Zec look at how low market cap is. They will feed money into Zec buying at exchanges. I see 500 usd to 800 usd possible . Well, what you're saying is very intelligent, I never thought that way. That may be intelligent then to save, but with people with little rigs like me (210 H/s), taking a drop of value would kill like a week of mining and would not be very good for my monthly balance. What I'll do is maybe to dedicate a R9 380 to mining ZCash to my Poloniex account, since the other ones are mining to my Bittrex account, with auto-sell enabled.
