You might have been right at that time but right now I dont think you are right in thinking that Bitcoin has no competitors. Coins like Ethereum and IOTA pose a very serious threat to the number one position of Bitcoin. And I think that lightning network is the only thing that can save it from being replaced as the king of the crypto markets.

How can, draw the conclusion that bitcoin has no competition? when there are a thousand more coins that compete in the market, and the coins will always increase every year and then just waiting for time until there is a better coin than bitcoin.

I think this opinion is redundant, altcoin like Monero, Zcash and Etherium, shows amazing performance.Because other than crypto currency, bitcoin has a huge price and in some countries bitcoin is used in everywhere, But also i will say that bitcoin has competition with all other crypto currencies.

Bitcoin does have competitors. It might take some time to have a clear picture but if you have a longer vision then based on the comparison of the features, Ethereum surely has a chance to overcome Bitcoin.
