Hi, here's Ethereum Wallet + Mist Beta update. It bundles the Geth version 1.4.17 "PoolAid". Our colleagues at the Go-ethereum worked hard to give us this version.

This update is highly recommended and fixes most of "stuck syncing…", or "high memory usage".

From Geth repository:

Geth 1.4.17 is a hotfix release to address two DoS attack vectors abused on the mainnet:
This release limits the number of transactions per-user and globally so as to limit maximum memory consumption and egress network traffic.

They have also made the gas limit to avoid mass attack to the network.

So ICONOMI staff must know this situation, and they also know the gas limit will remain for months.

Their blog post about the delay is no sense, they have choose ETH network but they did not read the mist update for days.(or not??)

few questions regarding platform security:

1. Did you have external expert/company auditing the platform from security point of view? Have any penetration tests been made?

2. Who is the company CSO?

3. Will ICN tokens be held in an offline storage, just like the funds? That is for people who choose to keep their tokens on the platform. Will it be multisig as well?

4. Do you plan on any type of funds insurance?

I think clarifying the above questions will make non technical and non crypto investors much more confidant. It will also help attract new investors

2. Our infrastructure lead Domen Skalar is acting CSO.

3. We will apply both. Everything we do is multisig and we will hold majority of ICN tokens left on the platform in the offline storage.

4. We are strongly evaluating this possibility. With every insurance company we talked so far, we got stuck at "blockchain, crypto, whaaaat?" ...

What about Performance fund? It is schedule to go live this year and it is quite healthy already. Will it be audited as well? Please elaborate on that a bit more, if you can.

Joining ttookk question: This probably means that withdrawing ICN from the platform will be a semi-automatic process, right? So, it would take a while, let's say 1-2 days?
and would like to add: Will it be possible to withdraw part of the tokens from the platform, or just the entire bulk?

another security-related question: Are you keeping hashed values of credentials on the server or you have implemented client-side solution, such as Firebase?

No need to ask over & over the same question again. Whatch the blog and you will know like everyone else.

Beside, don't expect to buy & sell ICN straight after release. It took over 6 months for Augur's token to be listed on Polo & Kraken. Not trying to FUD but I'm being realistic... A listing doesn't happen overnight. It may take some time (days even weeks) before a token is officially recognised & listed.

What exactly on ethstats page shows that the eth is stable now?
I didn't observe changes on that page that shows the stability of network.
What according to you would be effect on ICN if it's released  when ddos attacks are running?

As a substantial number of ICONOMI ICO investors intend to move ICN tokens to exchanges, we do not want to launch into an environment where investors might have to wait an excessive period of time to access ICN tokens; furthermore, this might also hinder the listing of ICN tokens at exchanges.

This is a no sense, first do the genesis then, also after month you can  hit the exchange. Like a lot of project have done in the past years.

I just believe if the lauching of the iconomi tokens will got a delayed, the gas limit is not enough for covering the standard distribution of icn tokens.... i may 40 percent tommorow the coins will be lauched by the team and the another percentage are canceled by the team....  so i guess not wishing more about the icn token will lauched tommorrow.

Those are two different types of problem.
The longer it takes that ETH doesn't look good in my eyes.
It's like dealing with Microsoft support "we are working on that that you for report" few months later nothing...
