Lots of good platforms out there that have communities who don't suffer from the hopium addiction the ETH community does. Did anyone see the venture proposals going up on the DAO forum page before the attack? Not an inkling of pragmatism. I want stable infrastructure before all else and I invested in Iconomi not ETH.

I was and still am a big supporter of the ICONOMI concept however I am really disappointed with the team and the public relations aspect as well. At the same time this could be a good thing if disgruntled supporters dump when we "eventually" get released or this can totally flop if someone comes to plate and does it better. The concept is great but the execution is now starting to decline as they have the money and don't need to beg for it anymore. I wouldn't be so cocky if I were them because this is a free market and they are exposed and vulnerable to competition.

Have faith in the team, there is not much to show anything but rightful intentions

We have all seen the scams, and the truth of it is that there will always be risk

you guys do realize that iconomi is not bound to eth? if it sucks or fails, they can just pack it in and move to another chain. it's not like there are no alternatives for this to work

The rest of us are ETH fans though and the reason why they invest is that they are ETH holders as well.
Its like hitting two birds in one stone for them so with ICN's success it should also give profit for them when they dump some of their ETH.

ETH Chain on this coming monday:

A hard-fork based on EIP 150 version 1c will be put into effect at block 2457000. This will reprice certain operations to correspond better to the underlying computational complexity.

A second hard-fork will follow shortly after, aimed at reverting the current “state-bloat” introduced by the attacks. This second fork will serve to remove accounts which are empty; lacking code, balance, storage and nonce == 0.

yes, you read it right; DOUBLE hardfork. Go team Ethereum! owait.

Problem is that ETH addresses people added to ICONOMI website will be deleted if they have no balance.
ICONOMI team has to do something, so that they won't send ICN to non existing addresses.

Possible solution: ICONOMI team sends a balance of: 0.00000001 ICN or 0.00000001 ETH (or the lowest denomination possible) to all account holders that put their ETH wallet addresses on the ICO website, that way the wallets wont be empty any longer as they will have a positive balance of 0.00000001 ETH

Your address will not be "deleted" if it has no balance.  

They are definitely not making any changes to the private/public key generation cryptography which would invalidate any addresses from being able to receive or send transactions.

Any time we encounter an empty account (no code, no balance, etc) we flag it for removal. Essentially deleting it from the trie at the end of transaction. So if our beloved attacker had indeed owned the private keys (he doesn't) he'd have to re-create those accounts on the state, this will incur an additional gas price.

If I generate a private key + address totally offline using some dice and a calculator, and this address has never been used, it does not magically become invalid after the hard fork.

Please, projects take months and years to develop, you think Ethereum got listed after a week? Just look at Lisk and Waves, they still don't have nothing to show. I know Iconomi is a simpler project but still, what's the rush? what really changed in two weeks? Do you think people are crazy to pump it to $10? The ICO went for more than a month, enough time to get in for everyone.

The only ones trying to get it listed are the ones in for a quick profit, and that's all fine and all, but don't disguise your intentions for something else. You want your ICNs now to dump them. I already see mine at Iconomi site just fine.

I have received nothing in my newly created ETH account that I want to use for ICN withdrawals, and that includes a test withdrawal from Poloniex of 3 ETH. Polo says the transaction is complete.    Anybody else made a Polo ETH withdrawal and have it vanish?  Is this a DDoS problem that will eventually come thru, a "new address" problem from using geth "Poolaide", or is the ETH "lost forever"?  Anybody got any comments / ideas?

That's $35 and pretty much all the ETH I own.  I just wanted to get it off of Polo and get ready to use it for gas to transfer ICN around.

Gas limit has been lowered to ~600k gas per block, so poloniex probably broadcast the transaction with too low of a gas price to get picked up by miners, then they mark it as "Complete" since they have already broadcast it to network.

I don't know the exact rules for ethereum mempool, but if it doesn't get picked up by miners within a certain timeframe, it will get dropped from mempool and be back in poloniex's wallet.

I had this happen to me a few times when I broadcast with the standard gas price (currently standard is about 39000000000 wei/gas)

Should contact Poloniex support and also there's a hard fork on monday to fix more network issues.

It also toke almost 8hrs for 1 ETH to reach my wallet yesterday... and like you the explorer (Etherscan) wouldn't show the txn... I guess it's normal... The network is still under heavy DDOS attack... thus extremely slow....

-Currently no real solid competition in this market
-Funds operational by Q4 platform operational early 2017. No other project has went from intial concept to market so quickly. Providing real value is the simplicity of the project. NOTHING in crypto is simple and this is what normal people need to want to be involved in the community

Unforeseen Circumstances:

-Government regulation
-stability of blockchain platforms
-cyber crime

In a short time this project will be significant in the fiat world. Iconomi is here to stay and with the team and resources they have at their disposal there is not much that can slow them down. We can expect a significant return on our investment in a just a few years.

Thats a lot of gas really. i've only sent 0.2 eth since the time i invested on XAUR to which I've also used myethwallet to store it there. As far as i know we just need 0.001 when sending tokens to another address.

It's called t-ICN. t as test.

I haven't seen anything new, so is it safe to assume the test tokens didn't go out yet?  Are you still planning on doing that phase or proceeding straight to full token release on Tuesday?
