Hello!

Please whitelist me. I would like to reply to the post "Are VIR loans any good?" of Ichtyo in forum "Bitcoin Forum > Bitcoin > Project Development > [BETA]Bitfinex - Meta-Exchange and margin trading" with this post:

---------

Hello,

Currently, I am providing about 9k of the active 65k USD loans on Bitfinex. Thus my interest in this matter.

I was surprised to read that VIRs are always preferred, even if there is a cheaper fixed rate available. Is this really true?
Please go forward with the idea that offers below VIR are accepted before the VIR.

For the lenders/borrowers I would like buttons 'cancel all borrow offers' and 'cancel all lend offers'

Also, I would appreciate a possibility to spread the funds to lend over a range of interest rates. Like: place 10 offers startAt=50% step=25% lendOfferSize=500USD
I realize that the current way the offer book is shown has problems with spreading the funds over a range of interest rates. If a lot of people do that, the page would become insanely long.
It might be better to show the market of offers in a compressed form like a distribution graph.

Thanks!

I use Bitcoin Armory and need to ask a question on that forum.  Would you approve me  for posting there?
I posted it on the Newby forum but I don't think that anyone who knows about Armory reads it.
Many thanks.

If you have a need to be allowed into the forum beyond before you have completed the required 5 posts and 4 hours logged in, please post your request here. You must provide evidence that shows that you either understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie, or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum. Reasons such as "I'm not a spammer" will be ignored. Try to be as specific as possible.

If you learned of Bitcoin through a currently established member of this forum who feels that you are ready to be released to the rest of the forum or who is willing to mentor you, or if you want to make a new account that is separate from your already-existing established forum account, have the existing user/account vouch for you after you have made your request.

If you are asking to be whitelisted because you are having a problem with something, we generally look more favorably on people who have already attempted to solve their issue in the Newbie board. Even if you end up not qualifying for preemptive whitelisting, your post might still qualify for being moved to another board if you have received insufficient help after a few hours.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.

Please note: If you see "Jr. Member" by your name, you have already met the 5 posts and 4 hour requirements and don't need to post here. Additionally, after you meet the requirements, it can take up to 10 minutes for your account to be automatically upgraded.

id like to be white listed, i have serious matters to post about.

I'm not quite sure if I am allowed elsewhere - but given the freedom to post where I please would be very nice.  I would to contribute my insight to potential future difficulty levels.

Hi,

I'm a software developer who has been involved with bitcoin related things for a couple of years now. I started mining two years ago (before the first big bubble) and have been interested ever since. I'm currently doing computer security research on bitcoin and related technologies, and would like access to some of the forums so I can discuss the paper "Bitter to Better - How to Make Bitcoin a Better Currency" (http://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007%2F978-3-642-32946-3_29).

Thanks,

Clark

Hi I'd like to be whitelisted, I want to start trading in bitcoin and I understand the basics of it, all transactions are recorded and so if somewhere down the line a transaction pops up which is not registered with other peers it is dealt as suspicious and depending on who owns the majority share of information their version of the transaction will be deemed the correct one - that is a very poorly explained version of the 51% attack theory

More importantly I would like to be white listed so that I can start trading I would like to setup my ecommerce site to trade with bitcoin which hopefully will make me some money but also increase how many people know about and actively use bitcoin as I do feel it is something great and something very interesting to be part of and know more about

I'll be honnest:  I want to be whitelisted because I want to post my ripple address to the ripple giveaway.  I should be entitled to it since I've registered long time ago.

I think my knowledge could be shared in other forums, hence I also liked to be whitelisted when possible.

I joined because I'm interested in beta-testing the Peerbet Android app (needing to be a beta-tester is a "problem" of mine) released at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=144066.0

Now I see I can't post any feedback or anything unless I go off and post nonsense in threads I don't necessarily have any interest in posting to. Hmm…
