would like to be able to post in miners section as I have af few technical questions!

Or could someone post this for me and let me know when its done:

I have a small mining-rig:

Motherboard: gigabyte 890 FXA-UD7 (6x PCIe x16 slots, not all running at x16)
Graphic cards: 2X 5970 (1 XFX & 1 Sapphire)
4 GB ram
Win 7 x64 (guiminer)
1k watt psu (700 watt psu to handle the extra power requirements)
whole thing is liquidcooled

Would it be possible to upgrade this rig with 2 more 5970's or more?
Would it be possible to combine them with other cards?

Thnx.

Hi mods,
I'd like to request to be whitelisted, please. I've recently joined a few mining pools and have some hardware/config questions (for the Alt Cryptocurrency section).

I am a Bitcoin economy participant. I am using a pseudonym (flyonwall), but I am willing to reveal my real identity. I blogged a couple of times about bitcoins http://ctapang.wordpress.com/2013/01/30/more-on-bitcoins/.

As you can see, I have nothing against bitcoins because I am for the free market. However, I do have a concern about the future. I believe that the bitcoin economy cannot grow if its quantity is limited. I understand that each bitcoin can be subdivided into smaller and smaller subunits, but such subdivision is also limited. I have only one purpose in joining this community: to discuss this matter seriously.

The subdivision is not limited. The Bitcoin protocol has unused space, and if there will be a need, the precision can be extended. This means that the BTC mine limit is irrelevant. BTC compared to fiat over time will just become super expensive. One day you will require just 1 microSatoshis to buy a pizza.

You forgot about me! I need to post in the Marketplace section.
I rejected your request because you are dealing in a business that has seen a great deal of fraud. So, we try to make it take more work to post about such services in the main forum so that scammers make fewer accounts.

But BitMit has an escrow system, doesn't that mean I wouldn't be able to scam people since their money was in escrow until they receive the card? I just need some BTC, and I need forums like this to help advertise my listing on that site Sad

No, not at all.

Well I'm not going to scam anyone. I'm not a scum bag. I just want to sell a card I never use for btc, that's all. I'm a nice person!! I figured the escrow system would keep the persons btc safe so then they can then finalize upon receiving the package, just like another site I've used for btc. Is there any safer way for me to sell this so you know that I am not trying to scam people's hard earned bitcoins?

If you have a need to be allowed into the forum beyond before you have completed the required 5 posts and 4 hours logged in, please post your request here. You must provide evidence that shows that you either understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie, or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum. Reasons such as "I'm not a spammer" will be ignored. Try to be as specific as possible.

If you learned of Bitcoin through a currently established member of this forum who feels that you are ready to be released to the rest of the forum or who is willing to mentor you, or if you want to make a new account that is separate from your already-existing established forum account, have the existing user/account vouch for you after you have made your request.

If you are asking to be whitelisted because you are having a problem with something, we generally look more favorably on people who have already attempted to solve their issue in the Newbie board. Even if you end up not qualifying for preemptive whitelisting, your post might still qualify for being moved to another board if you have received insufficient help after a few hours.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.

Please note: If you see "Jr. Member" by your name, you have already met the 5 posts and 4 hour requirements and don't need to post here. Additionally, after you meet the requirements, it can take up to 10 minutes for your account to be automatically upgraded.

Hi, I just wanted to post on the satoshiDice thread.

I've been waiting on a tx bet for more than a day, and satoshi hasn't even included it it's tx db lookup...
Yes you heard right: not even unknown or unconfirmed. it's missing completely, in exactly the same way you sent money down a black hole in the center of the galaxy.
FFS

You can check my reddit post (with a lot more details and links on the block chain & satoshi db lookups)

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1anrhi/satoshi_dice_problembug_no_reply_and_no/

You can also see from the block chain on reddit that I'm an oldie... been mining BTC since early 2010...

SatoshiDice replied after 3 days!?!?!?

Talk about 0 confirmation instant transactions... NOT!!!

Hear our noob cries of pain and ignorance and lack of BitCoins lol

Copy pasted from my intro:

I just set up my new eBayed Mac Pro and put in a 5770 and have Bitminter running @149ish Mh/s.  My question is should I put the old Radeon 1xxx back in slot 2 even though bitMinter wouldn't recognize it?  I've been trying to run DiabloMiner on osX.7.4 to no avail.  Any thoughts would be swell.   PS I just drank the BFL 30Gh/s juice and don't care tee hee.

I am new to bitcoin, I wanted a simple solution to generate a number of offline addresses in a deterministic way and could not locate anything appropriate. So I rolled out my own:

https://github.com/pavlos-christoforou/bitcoin

I thought other members may find this useful.

No need to whitelist me, I do not expect to have the time to actively participate in the forums but if someone could post this announcement to the appropriate forum I would appreciate it.

Cheers

Pavlos
