Hi there,

I would need access to that forum, because I want to buy BFL credits on marketplace.

I'm here to help update the community whenever Sealswithclubs is giving away freebies or running promos.  Whitelist would be nice, or I can chat with the noobies for a bit.

I would like to be whitelisted please.

I have experience in BTC and LTC, have invested in BTC before it was $5, hopped on board with LTC at the start as well...

I am offering my help and advice in the newbie section for now, but would like to broaden that are rather than wait 4 hours.

I've read about Bitcoin from marginal revolution and consider myself fairly knowledgeable about it. I'd like to participate more in the community.

I don't need to post outside of the noob threads at the moment, but I don't want to read through random new person threads and put in the effort to make a coherent response to a topic I'm not vested in. I have 16 hours and 36 minutes logged in and I'm interested in how people will react to the 1k sell order on gox at $94.9999. If this doesn't qualify me as eligible then I'll just get around to posting one day.

Thanks.

Greetings all.
I'm new to this community but I'm the real deal so figured it was worth a shot posting here.   I've been mining for 3 months.  My setup is real low end, borderline profit (not at today's price anyway!), but let me explain.

I got tired of never been able to find a TV box/PVR that did 100% of what I wanted in a single box, or without a slow clunky GUI/EPG etc.  So over the years I've invested in two HTPC windows media centres, slimline custom build to go underneath the main tellies.  One was already begging for a GPU upgrade anyway to get decent blu-ray playback.

So I thought why not turn these machines into miners?  So that’s my setup, with an ATI 7750 in one and an ATI 6670 in the other, and an ATI 7870 in my gaming desktop.  The point is these machines have real significant uptimes anyway, so I'm only paying for the extra juice taken when the GPU's are worked.  I use cgminer on both, with the intensity tuned down just to the point where Windows media Centre keeps a responsive GUI and video.

The obvious next step for me is to add an extra 300 or 600 mhash with USB Block Erupter.  Simple, plug in play. Maybe I’ll get more serious in time with something from BFL or Avalon, but I’m not ready for that just yet.   I'm aware the USB miners are ? on ROI but at 1 BTC I have no problem with taking a punt.  But they are going for 250GBP on ebay UK - fork that!

So pleeeeaaase let me out of newbs.  You can see I got the knowledge!  And I'm here to buy a little BTC and an Erupter or two, and join in the community of active BTC supporters.
