Hi,

I am one of the "victims" affected by the CoinLenders fiasco... and am currently unable to PM the user collating the information on what deposits were on CoinLenders/Inputs.io or reply in the actual thread.

According to your guidance, I should be able to post a few hours after posting this.

Great forum by the way - note that I've been tracking it for a long time but only just needing to post something myself now, because of this very unfortunate event.

Hello, I am new here, but watching the forum for quite time.

I was trying to know how to use my cpu or gpu for mining long time ago, I used guiminer but can't connect to pool, so I let it be. After some time I realized that it was quite a mistake Cheesy so after some work I started succesfully mine, but difficulty was a little higher to make my wallet rich Cheesy

Well now I am trying to know something about altcoins and this forum is the best source of any info, well I am looking forward to use it more, and that's the main reason I have created my new acc here.

Take care all and good luck in mining or in coin bussiness Cheesy

Hi Guys

I'd like to be able to get on the whitelist.
I have more technical questions that goes about what I originally posted on reddit:
http://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/1sezuw/what_are_the_issues_with_faster_block_generations/

Basically, when will this change in the Bitcoin client change happens that is mention in this article: http://eprint.iacr.org/2012/248.pdf
Do you see a need for a solution to waiting 10 minutes as too long? It sounds like, with what is depicted in section 5.3, that once this implementation is done, just waiting for 15 seconds for receiving a payment without any conflict would be sufficient to be confident, isn't it? http://eprint.iacr.org/2012/248.pdf

I'm for real.  :-)

Thanks

9/18/13 EDIT:
Most whitelist requests aren't necessary now.  All it takes to move up is 1 post and 4 hours elapsed since that post.  Please PM a moderator if you have an urgent reason for being whitelisted.

If you have a need to be allowed into the forum beyond before you have completed the required 5 posts and 4 hours logged in, please post your request here. You must provide evidence that shows that you either understand more about Bitcoin than the average newbie, or that what you want to post can only be done in another forum. Reasons such as "I'm not a spammer" will be ignored. Try to be as specific as possible.

If you learned of Bitcoin through a currently established member of this forum who feels that you are ready to be released to the rest of the forum or who is willing to mentor you, or if you want to make a new account that is separate from your already-existing established forum account, have the existing user/account vouch for you after you have made your request.

If you are asking to be whitelisted because you are having a problem with something, we generally look more favorably on people who have already attempted to solve their issue in the Newbie board. Even if you end up not qualifying for preemptive whitelisting, your post might still qualify for being moved to another board if you have received insufficient help after a few hours.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.

Please note: If you see "Jr. Member" by your name, you have already met the 5 posts and 4 hour requirements and don't need to post here. Additionally, after you meet the requirements, it can take up to 10 minutes for your account to be automatically upgraded.

Requesting to whitelist this account.

I want to offer my technical support to other members who need it. I have 5-10 years of computer related experience.

I don't talk much, so I won't spam the board.

I'm interested in PM'ing other members and replying to relevant posts.

Thank you,

I would like to get whitelisted.
Mostly because I want to use PM's and feel silly making posts about nothing just to get approval.
Been a member for a while but just prefer to lurk instead of posting.

I like to be white listed. Even though i created this user some time ago, their was no restriction then.
Now due to restrictions when i wanted to ask, i can't ask directly, instead have to go throw newbie forum & have to wait for some one to answer.
Please white list as soon as possible.
Thanks.

Not sure if this counts, but I've been around bitcoin for at least a year (i'm not that good with time) but i'm certain i discovered it before 2013, which puts at least 11 months on my clock. I have't actually been logged in to bitcointalk, but i did spend some time viewing the forums (especially because they're the main source of information on bitcoin). I've read the white paper for bitcoin, PPcoin, mined casually with GUIminer and am finally getting into command line stuff. I even earned enough to trade on BTC-e once, but i blew it all on chinacoin speculation; i'm not sure what that does to my reputation though Wink
Also i was around for pretty much the entirety of chinacoin, and probably disconnected for a while because of my losses, if that can give you a better idea of my timeline.

Also, there's a dogecoin giveaway, and it's actually my first coin i've used a QT client for.  Cheesy

I'm not putting much importance on whether i get bumped, but if i do it'll make me happy.  Smiley hopefully this will count as my one post anyway.

Looking at what others posted, it occurred to me that i have a super-special skill to offer (besides my sense of humor): technical computer knowledge. I know that probably isn't in any scarcity, but specifically I've spent at least a year (almost) mastering the windows command line. For loops and variable management are harder than you'd think.
I'm even studying computer science at college and know some of C++ and java, with about 2-3 years of C++ and a class on java (it's the same as C anyway except pointers aren't explicit and you can use reflection).

Additionally:
I know the basics on how to use HTML and XML, though that doesn't come up often and I don't really know how to implement HTML in webpages. Again, i know the basics like how to use head, title, body, p, img, and ect, but i'd have to look up every attribute individually and have very little idea about how to use CSS.
I've researched some about how IP (the internet protocol) works and am thinking of implementing DHT/decentralized communication in a MUD as a replacement for a server.
I've played around in VBS and have done small things with it, but it disgusts me yet seems clean and structured at the same time and has a befuddling amount of setup required to do something as simple as file manipulation.
