Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts. If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic. Also: - You must have made one post in order to send PMs. - You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature. - You need 50 posts to put an image in your signature. Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted. man, i was kinda in a hurry

Good policy. I don't resent it at all. Considering my interest in Bitcoins, it won't take long anyway. LOL

Given the nature of forums in general, can't say I'm really shocked that this is in place. Makes sense. Annoying? Sure. But makes sense.

It's sad that this forum has to resort to such measures. I can understand it's been done but it's still sad.

So my reward for mining my last block on Slush's pool was 0.002 instead of my usual 0.05 and now I find that I can't even post on Slush's forum to try and figure out what is going on and get it fixed since I need 5 posts and 4 hours. This wouldn't be a problem if there was some other way to contact Slush, but in this case these Newbie rules are really a pain.

Understandable but a bit annoying if you try to reply the first time on a "normal" topic

OK I was wondering why I couldn't reply to a couple of articles, I was beginning to think I was going mad.
A bit of a shame as I wanted to get involved in a few conversations, particularly with PayPal being dropped from Bitmarket, which is a bit of a bugger if you are European.
Still these things are sent to try us, what a shame there are so many spammers and thief's. While I am thinking of it and those that knock Bitcoins, it makes me so angry!
What gets me is people should be angry with the banks and should support bitcoin instead, you have to ask where is their logic. Oh well such is life.
I have a small business and take small payments from all over the world and most of my payments are €3 of which PayPal take €0.45, on that alone shows you why we need Bitcoin to succeed. I also accept bit coins, but may be I should promote it more!
What these detractors do not understand is that with the likes of PayPal and credit companies can do is take the money back from you after you have sent the product to them, Bitmarket is a good example why Bitcoin is so much better.
OK that is my rant over
Keep up the good work you guys, I am routing for you all.
