Hi there. Are you currently mining? If so, can I ask how you mine? CPU or GPU?

Nope, I've been connected for about 18 hours now with no errors (using cgminer), and the only reason I disconnected was to update my miner.

Actually, I was hoping that you could help me set-up CPU mining on my computer for a pool like Slush's or some others? Someone that does GPU mining told me earlier that my laptop can not GPU mine, but I can CPU mine. I just don't know how to set it up. I have GUIMiner on my laptop, ready to go. It always says connecting. . .  and nothing more. IDK what i'm doing wrong.

I dont know much about CPU mininig.
One of my comp is intel i3 procesor, and only ~2285 khash/s with bitcoin.
Second is intel dual core ~2000 khash/s with bitcoin.

6850 card, works 100 times faster.

with BTCGuild and deepbit getting DDOS, does that mean difficulty should be going down because of less total hash power?

yes and no, i don't disagree there needs to be some sort of restriction, but I've been reading the forums without registering for ages, finally decided i had some thing constructive to say, which will now be obsolete by the time i get there.

Maybe another way to be able to post without the full wait times would be by "verification" or sponsorship from an existing member
