It is frustrating but it forces one to actually engage and become part of a community if they are serious. Fly by the sun members and silly comments are easily weeded out by precautions like this. Awesome. Lets see what class I fall into...lol

It's just a bit irritating that I have to post something to this list with is meaningless to everyone, just to get my posts up to 5 so I can ask the one question on the list that I want to. So sorry if you read this.

Glad there are some posting restrictions to make me go through and read up on what the general rules and etiquette is around here.

Posted a request for preemptive whitelisting but it wasn't fulfilled and no reaction at all. At least smb shoud have notified if request was rejected or etc.
Now hope will not need that anymore, this is 5th post  Smiley

What exactly counts as a post?  Does it have to be oustide the newbie thread?

Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts (new topics or replies).

Totally understand that. Unfortunately, I'm a "new" user because I want to use a new identity for privacy reasons. Wish there were a mechanism like Reddit's IAmA to verify someone's identity separately with the moderators.

This would be a very convenient way.

I guess rules have to be made by someone.  Unfortunately, there is no way to know who is going to game a system.  Anytime the system is evaluated by enough people, there will always be someone ready to twist or try to break the rules.  Sad
