I'm guessing it takes a while to get a white listing, so best to go through the newbie restrictions rather than wait for a white listing?

These restrictions were added after I had first joined the board, so I never got the instructions when I first signed up... Spent hours trying to figure out why I could no longer post...

Restrictions sound reasonable, I hate all forms of spam, and trolling is the lowest form.

Posted a request for preemptive whitelisting but still nothing. Any1 know how long it usually takes? Seems the only way is to post several posts and get the status required.

Very sensible. Does the Technical Support Forum get trolled a lot? If not it would be handy to have it open.
