I think let us just let the children be.  Let them focus in their study, teenagers on the other hand should be thought of Bitcoin but let their interest guide them on what to do.  This way, if ever these teenagers realized and understand the essence of Bitcoin then they will do it according to their own accord.

Whats wrong letting children know about bitcoin, it can be an introduction about bitcoin, who knows, one of these children may be the one who will find the solution of the problems that bitcoin users face.
it does not matter if you just tell them about the foundation of bitcoin but if you tell them about the concept and the bitcoin system
of course it is a strange thing because they certainly would not know it
Yes that is true explaining about the concept of bitcoin like how it works and how people earn bitcoin or money is the main thing to consider when explaining bitcoin. If a person does not know bitcoin yet then explaining the basics like how is it secured and what is the advantages and disadvantages is you need to explain first and for the children you can tell them that bitcoin is just like money that we are using.
In my opinion the best way it tell children and teenagers about bitcoin is to tell that bitcoin is money and that they could use it to buy things that they want, usually some parents tell their kids that if they need more money they need to get a part time job after school and bitcoin is the best way for them to do something they do every day while earning money.

Yup..it's very hard to explain ordinary people on bitcoin, I think you just say to them this (bitcoin) digital money is likely to be a future money

My child is in any case already know what I stammered and what is bitcoin in general. While his education makes it impossible to realize the entire concept of bitcoin, but the essence of it is already caught and will soon join me with.
to understand the concept of bitcoin of course he will not know. probably just made them dizzy. perhaps they will know just the basis of bitcoin, like bitcoin is as currencies or commoditie
actual children or teenagers do not have to know about bitcoin in detail, probably high school teenagers will be able to understand but not with elementary school children. just tell them about where to earn bitcoin, how and where to use and store bitcoin.
Children need to be left of their own to make effective decision. We should not force them to start learning about bitcoin. Children who has the habit of playing games can be suggested to play games that pay small amount of bitcoin. It's good to explain to teenage people. If they find it interesting they themselves will explore and learn much about it.

Yes indeed. We have our own interest in life, so if we excel on something, then that is the one that we should pay our attention on, and if you really love your children, you have to support them on whatever they want to be with or whatever they wanted to do in their lives because iti is the only way for them to succeed, forcing them to something that they don't know about will just lead them to nowhere.

Though, explaining bitcoin about teenagers and children is not a bad thing because we are just introducing it to them, what bad is, if we are going to force them to earn bitcoin or to do bitcoin.

Nope that is not how explaining works because you will leave them a lot of question on their minds. If you want to explain it in an easy way without doing a lot of efforts them simply tell them that bitcoin is a decentralized currency and no one can control it and it is secure and also cheap in terms of fees and don't forget to recommend this forum to expand their knowledge.

Bitcoin is difficult to explain. I also felt difficulties in understanding bitcoin for the firs time. Let's share how to explain bitcoin to children of teenagers. In My country I can say 98% children don't know bitcoin. In fact, bitcoin can be future money. If the children not familiar with cryptocurrency or bitcoin, how can they face the digital era in the future.
Some good ideas how to teach them are:
Teach them at school
Teach them at home
Let them learn about Bitcoin with games

I think the teacher will not be willing to teach about bitcoin in school lol. moreover bitcoin is not legal in all countries.
yeah one way to let them know about bitcoin is with game

I agree that it could be difficult to explain as once when bitcoin was explained to me I didn't know what in the world my friend was talking about. I thought he was insane.

I think teenagers would try to understand it and pay attention because they want money badly and would really do anything for it. But if I were to explain it I would start off the way someone explained it to me: it's a virtual coin and in order to reach 1 you have to collect many parts. Lol. And then obviously I'd go into detail

I'm sure that teenagers or children can understand bitcoin very easy.
They don't have ''old concepts'' as we, and they are open to ''new ideas''.
We don't need to explain them technology behind bitcoin, it can be complicate and boring for them.
I will explain them how to use bitcoin in everyday life and how much they can earn from bitcoin.
It will be enough for them to become curious and to explore more.

Yes that is very interesting way to try. I agree that we don't need to explain all the technology stuff that behind the bitcoin because it will be just confusing and it may cause them to lose their interest in bitcoin so making things simple like explaining the basics and what are the things you can do with bitcoin is the main concern for people like teenagers and children.

Bitcoin can be difficult to explain but so can money and what teenager really knows how that works, hell most people don't know how money really works.
I think a teenager would probably be the easiest generation to teach bitcoin to, you don't need to teach them the whole in's and out's just a bit about public/private key pairs, sending/receiving addresses and secure coin holding and they will pick up the rest very quickly.
The best way to introduce bitcoin to somebody is to first teach him him/her to read in forum. In that they can study more about bitcoin on their own. Then if they are interested explain a better way to earn in bitcoin like trading , buy and sell or even doing signature camapaign. Asides we are all living in the 21st century so the technology is more widely spread than ever so no need to explain more. Forum is the pathway of knowledge through bitcoin. Thats the best way.

Even you want to teach him personally how btc works it will not help them. It will needed have thier own interests to learn about BTC explainkng it into not interested persons is just wasting time. Teach only the basic If they are interested to learn they will learn it in her own.

Yeah that is true and it is all true no matter what your age is. A user or who wants to be one needs to have a dedication that he/she wants to really learn how to use Bitcoin. Without it your time will be wasted as you are just talking to a man who does not care about what you say. People learn a lot from you when they really want to learn.  Smiley

Yes and its really hard to explain teenagers about bitcoin as they might not be interested in knowing it at this early stage and they may even find it complicated but if anyone really wants to explain them then he can introduce them with bitcoin games as it may be fun and easy to understand.

Its hard to explain the bitcoin in children because  some of them are not interested, but in teenagers maybe not too difficult to explain because they have much knowledge to about the importance of money. Its better to explain it to teenagers because they know the expenses.
To explain them the bitcoin first I will introduce the bitcoin and I'll tell the advantages and disadvantages. Then, I'll give them some videos in youtube about bitcoin to give them more knowledge about it.

Bitcoin are good but normally users of this are adults already since they are most in need to transact and to make investments.
Kids and teenagers will only be interested with this if you will influence them but most likely they are just interested with enjoying their lives as they are not yet serious with making money. Time will come for them to learn but it's good if they have a first hand knowledge about bitcoin.

Earlier, I've seen some very good analogy/comparison on how to explain how or where bitcoin
gets/bases it's value from.

It's certainly not enough to explain it all, but say, you're asked how could something digital
possibly have that much value?

(This is one of the points I've previously had trouble with both understanding and explaining)
I've found kprawn's example really interesting.

I get a lot of people that tells me, " Bitcoin is a virtual item, how can a digital item be that expensive? "

My answer is always the same, " Do you understand Digital scarcity? " I then offer examples like this :

•Eve Online Revenant Super Carrier – $9,000.
•Echoing Fury Mace from Diablo 3 – $14,000.
•Age of Wulin Sword – $16,000.
•Ethereal Flames Pink War Dog in Dota 2 – $38,000.
•Amsterdam from Second Life – $50,000.
•Crystal Palace from Entropia Universe – $330,000.
•Club Neverdie in Entropia Universe – $635,000.

Source : http://www.therichest.com/rich-list/most-popular/10-of-the-most-expensive-virtual-items-in-video-games/ or a little video,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUNRl3kAATk&t=8m35s

No, we are not crazy, we just understand "Digital scarcity" and we profit from that. Bitcoin will NEVER have more than 21 000 000 coins in

circulation, give or take a few million, and THAT makes it rare.  Wink Do the math, and see where this is going.  Grin

Explaining to young minds would be hard specially if they dont have any idea regarding on tech things but if they are already aware on techs then they might easily catch up the learning about bitcoin.Explaining would be effective if you show some video this is effective for sure.

These are horrible ideas.  Obviously none of you have children.

Tell them Bitcoin is like sex.  It is very dirty and should be avoided at all cost.

That will get them very interested and they will figure everything out by themselves.  No need to explain anything.

Tell them about ways that they can earn some pocket money in bitcoin by doing various bounty campaigns...This should get their attention. I would personally recommend you to leave the kids alone and concentrate mainly on teens. Because teenagers would be able to better understand the concept and would find bitcoin interesting than kids.
