WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for block chain to download, or notify developers of the issue.
Restarted didnt work, waited, still the same, anyone can help me out? Smiley

Regards

Hi @Rav3n85, please check your system clock to make sure it is accurate.  Also, what version of Silk are you using and on what Platform (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc)?

Thanks!

Same here on Ubuntu. Everything's working fine, it's just got that message at the top.

There were obviously a few people around hoping to make a quick buck from SLK after the swap who have now exited.
As someone said in another thread, short-term thinking with a long-term coin.

yes, this is where you get out and buy the coins to stake, but I advice you to wait till it consolidates. You don't want to catch a falling knife do you??

First issue with SILK wallet on Win 64 bit

In the overview it says
WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for Blockchain to dowload, or notify developers of the issue.

I waited with no luck so here am I asking for guidance over the issue.

Concerning the "WARNING: Checkpoint is too old. Wait for the blockchain to download, or notify developers of the issue" message.

Everyone can ignore this message as it causes no issues to functionality of the wallet.

This will be gone in the upcoming release of Silk(SLK) version 1.0.1.0

Spencer Lievens has just committed a pull request - https://github.com/SilkNetwork/Silk-Core/pull/29

Which fixes this issue - https://github.com/SilkNetwork/Silk-Core/issues/28

We’ve considered bounties, and although we understand the great benefit of reaching out by spreading awareness we feel that it must come from true intentions. Our group is very small at the moment, but we’ve stuck together and walked a straight and narrow line. Those that want to join our ranks are more than welcome, and those that do will certainly carry a signature.

But those that aren’t rooted will only pass by for a quick benefit. If we were to say yes, there are bounties for certain actions then we know we would get exactly those specific actions at the cost of the offered bounty. We believe that an active community can contribute more, who is to say what you can come up with?

To all who have read the OP, did you notice some spots missing on the organogram? At the old Silk thread, we used to talk about how we would evolve organically into a headless organization, intrinsically motivated. This ambition still stands!

So if you think wearing a signature could help and you believe in this project/movement, then by all means wear a signature. By helping/supporting you will receive a reward greater then monetary incentive, conviction in your service!

Short term traders will regret selling.

Silk to 25,000+ sats after DRK ico completes.

Also, not sure about exiting SLK for DRK. Love to hear opinions on the balance of the two.

Also love for ppl to post there btc deposits to weaver for DRK ico so we can judge how the ICO is going.
