What's the advantage of me running a stormnode apart from helping the network? And can you bail and take you 1000 coins if you decide to stop or whatever?

Yes the 1000DSLK are simply locked as collateral to the wallet during the time it is ran as a Stormnode.

You can take your collateral at anytime.

Stormnodes return an ROI of 37.7% which is currently 3x Dash's return on Masternodes.

I just opened my silkcoin wallet and I only can find 1 connection and its got lots to download and its stuck. My question is how do we send our old silkcoin to the weaver to change to silk?

You mean the old silkcoin wallet? I can't help with that. Wait for the developers. But the more time passes the less chances you have to recover those old coins. The weaver could still help you.

You're right about the passing of time
I just fired up the old Silkcoin wallet to see if I can help these guys but got no connections
I think more people need to leave the old wallet online to sustain the old network, but you'll gave to pray for this to happen
I'll leave it on if that helps but I got 0 connections

Two years ago we were like less than 20 people keeping the network alive and we hardly got 4-6 connections at best
But we're still here

Good return, think I will have to do one or two. Thanks mate.

Well ive just submitted about half my silk to the DRKSLK ICO.

How much SLK on average will i need to get 1000 DRKSLK?

With Silk at 25:1 per DarkSilk if the min cap of $0.25 is the final price, you would have to deposit 25000SLK per 1000DSLK returned.

OK, so I should deposit another 100K of silk to be on the safe side?
I only deposited 200K of silk.

So, is it 25K, or 250k to ensure a stormnode?

At the current rate of $0.25 it would cost 25000SLK for 1000DSLK, however, if the ICO suddenly accelerates and the DarkSilk cap hits $2.50, then it would cost 250000SLK for 1000DSLK.

So if you deposit 250000SLK to the ICO you will get between 1000 & 10000 DarkSilk, thus ensuring you will have enough DarkSilk to run between 1 and 10 Stormnodes.

Firstly sorry we didn't reply quickly as anticipated.

The 25:1 is accepted currently during this week at that rate because the current rate of DarkSilk is $0.25. Because we gave Silk the rate of $0.01 this makes it 25:1.

If you look at this:

We state here that we have looked at the CURRENT market and how it stands, Silk was at $0.007 at the time and we offered users to buy in at $0.01 as the DarkSilk ICO hadn't had much traction and DarkSilk was and still is at the minimum price cap of $0.25, thus giving the current swap ratio a 25:1 scale.

If we were to take millions in ICO funds, the DarkSilk price cap would increase to a maximum of $2.50 at which point Silk would be at the 250:1 ratio.

Sorry if the post in the OP's of both threads didn't explain this as clearly as intended and will look to have this updated and improved upon ASAP.

Basically it's the same thing since the return of the Stormnodes is in DSKL
Stormnodes pay 0.382DSLK per reward
It's just the value of the nodes that differs initially

For Example:
Max Case: If DSLK=$2.50   1 Stormnode=1000DSLK=250,000SLK=$2500  with a return of ~0.382DSLK at $2.50 ->>>$0.9550 return

Mid  Case: If DSLK=$1.25   1 Stormnode=1000DSLK=125,000SLK=$1500  with a return of ~0.382DSLK at $1.25 ->>>$0.4775 return

Min  Case: If DSLK=$0.25   1 Stormnode=1000DSLK=  25,000SLK=  $250  with a return of ~0.382DSLK at $0.25 ->>>$0.0955 return

So if you have 250k SLK now --- you can have:

1 Stormnode If DSLK=$2.50    with $0.9550 return
.
.
2 Stormnodes If DSLK=$1.25  with $0.9550 return
.
.
10 Stormnodes If DSLK=$0.25 with $0.9550 return

In all cases you will need more Silk or BTC to get bigger profits
Unfortunately that's the way our world works

Hi all, I have just got home from the office and I still have zero connections on the old wallet. Can some people fire up their old silkcoin wallets to keep the ability to be able to swap on the weaver as I have over 410 000 silkcoin and so does my brother and it would truly suck if we are both not able to swap over due to this issue. It truly would not be a good look for the silk community as a whole as all of us were promised to be given the ability to swap on the old thread and the time frame spoken by Spencer was going to be ongoing so no-one would miss out. But if we don't have people keeping the old wallet alive to enable one to make the swap then that is a "big problem" that needs to be addressed so this does not become a negative to such a positive community and silk as a whole. Honorable Character for a community in crypto "is value"

I sent SLK from bittrex to weaver, but it is still not showing up. Is there a reason for that?

So SLK is basically a shitcoin that is planned to die? I should go get DSLK instead?

- Kind regards, your average bittrex shitcoin investor.

Ugh, this banter again.

I vote that weaver has a mechanism added that allows us to choose whether we want to trade slk to drkslk based upon the offer price instead of us just being surprised at what we get.

This prevents any manipulation by dumping a ton of BTC into the drk ico at the last minute to drive up price.

hate to harp on this but if we are talking a 250:1 swap, i will keep my slk for a better day.
