ZCOIN support GPU soon, and I think CPU miner (like me) will impossible to mine at that time.
The price also drop when it easy to mine.

I think some people are impatient with the wait of gpu mining so they are trying to find a work around

From what they have told us so far it will be both https://zcoin.io/language/en/zcoin-transition-algo-lyra2z-specs-finalized/

At block 20,500 the algo will change to favor GPU miners and stave off the ravages of cloud mining abuse but you can still cpu mine

Why are you so sure that Zcoin will be listed on Poloniex in next month?

Btc38, aka the best Chinese altcoin exchange has already listed XZC, I see no other reason that Poloniex will list XZC. Poloniex has listed ZEC now, they may not list XZC for more reasons.

I tried setting up the CPU miner on suprnova but it did not work. I registered onto one of the other pools and adjusted the miner and the same thing, the miner did not run.

Are these pools outdated on the miner?

I agree with you, the price is good for miners but not good for traders or investors, the hashrate increased a lot because the price was pumping by btc38 listing, after this wave, the price will go down, we can buy cheaper to avoid losing bitcoin.

If I can't mine it because the CPU miner does not work, I may be missing out on the sale right now. On sale because the poloniex effct hasn't pumped it up yet
