Hi Dev, Is it ok to keep my ARK tokens in the ARK web wallet,
or do i have to withdraw them to an exchange before the Fork/ ARK Core Ver#2 goes live?

For all of those questioning on the update to v2 : you don't need to do anything other than update a wallet that will support upgraded protocol. Your ARK coins will still be accessible with same passphrase, the only thing you'll need to do is update your Desktop or Mobile wallet and we'll inform via all channels when that will be available. Exchanges will disable withdrawals and deposits when the switch occurs on 28th of November and re-enable when they make necessary changes (but this is out of our scope on when and how they do it, we'll help with integration of course if they'll need help).

Great update! Congratulations ARK! I was hoping the update to be deployed in December, definitely not expected it to be done already in November.

I am just missing maybe an example of how or why would you use ARK v2, like you use Wordpress today. An example for a company and an individual. It would be much clearer for everybody what that update actually means in practice.

This news surprised me as well seeing in a week time approximately Ark V2 mainnet is going to be launched. I was expecting it somewhere in December but good timing must accept. This will minimize the impact of speculation which is always bad on long term results. This is very insightful decision to go for launch and I not only support it but also appreciate it highly.

No dapps will ever be built on the ARK main chain, that's not how ARK works. Anyone building anything will get their own completely customizable blockchain, connected to the ARK ecosystem.

That's what I mean by DAPPs in ARK. Whatever customised blockchain a team wants to build for their DAPP, ARK needs to support it. So I'm wondering if people will be able to build, for example a game, using ARK v2 or is ARK-VM required?

I'm not tech saavy enough but I can tell that they said that with the plugin system many applications don't even need to use smart contracts. This is good news, and when Bitcoin and Altcoin experience a downtrend and the price falls free, but today the ARK token has a price increase of more than 25%, this is a very good thing.

Seems like we're being cleansed of shitcoins and dead projects after every price dive!
My 3 favourite coins are all up today, ARK is over 30%-35% up in 24h, XDNA is up 10% and XRP is up only 1%, but XRP hardly fell in price these days, it's 1% in 30days when BTC is 28% down!

I'm glad I invested more fiat into ARK on Monday, I'm already in profit.

Absolutely right, this is not bearish but a process of cleansing market from projects which are creating bad impression about this emerging asset class. If you want to get rid of stress then look at the work in project like ARK during all previous months and its effect on future. Lot of money will be pouring in projects with contribution in future's services providers. We will look at this time and will say all this was good for better future.

Also, soon we'll have Core v2 which will reduce the voting fee to about 0.1 if I recall correctly (though the fee is meant to be dynamic).

Btw guys, after I took advantage of the stupidly low price of ARK to increase my holdings, I now receive 0.85-0.88 ARK daily!
Will we reach 10$/ARK again, I wonder?

Yes, dynamic fee delegates set their own fee. You can vote, register name or create second signature as little as .ooo1 Ark.

I am expecting big things from v2. Just the ARK pay and the low fees should generate some nice volume...then again I hope some "LISK style" marketing will follow. Those guys know their marketing...they are pumping every time they announce a shitty  x.xx1 core upgrade. They must have released 29 versions of the same code already and created hype over it.
