@Lafu
How would you comment the Bitcoin Cash situation in Cryptopia? What is happening? When will it be resolved?

Cryptopia has generally NEVER supported any forks and disclose this.
In order to take part in a fork or swap you need to withdraw funds before they put the wallet into maintenance.
Leaving it to the last day is never a wise move. Allow more than 48 hour prior to a fork. (Network congestion and wallet congestion being potential issues + it also doesn't leave time to fix any technical issues). Making a support ticket just hours before the fork is happening when the problem is due to a technical issue is unlikely to get it resolved in time. A transaction cannot be processed when the wallet is in maintenance. The issue cannot be resolved until the wallet is out of maintenance.

As the answer to the support ticket that you posted shows - they cannot resolve the issue  (i.e. rebroadcast the transaction) until the wallet is out of maintenance.

Bitcoin Cash wallet is in maintenance. This can be viewed on the coininfo page.
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=BCH

I do not expect them to take it out of maintenance soon since the BCH network does not yet have replay protection and there are inherent risks involved.

Disclosure: Cryptopia does not monitor bitcointalk. As a volunteer chat moderator I am not Cryptopia staff and am not authorized to make statements on their behalf.

Here is why they are giving signs of scam and fraud:

Chapter 3:

Lost transaction? Lost BCH?

=========
No answer, no news, no support, no coins in wallet! Meanwhile Poloniex immediately refreshed the availability after the fork, they did not even asked you to withdraw.

Most likely your transaction was stuck because they put TRX wallet in Maintenance since 11-22-18, just like in other cases you'll receive it after they fix the issue. If when, only the support could tell.

Cryptopia have reviewed the login process to make it more secure.

This includes another layer of security around unrecognised logins.
If there any questions about this please open a support ticket and ask there.
If users log in from a new IP address they will receive an email that looks like this:

Not much different than the current system. When I log in, I already receive an email from where I can lock the account and see the IP.
Location, device, etc are not usually needed because when someone else uses your account he usually takes everything out.
Too bad for people with a dynamic IP  Grin Now I hope the team will start to speed up to resolve the problems with the wallets under maintenance for weeks.

I hope this would only appear if I turned off 2FA login email notification?
otherwise it would cumbersome to do two confirmations in one login attempt
would there be any other consequences if I keep login from different IP addresses because of my dynamic IP Undecided

Depending on how often your dynamic ip changes depends on how often it is an issue. I would strongly recommend against email 2fa. Get a Cryptopia device or use google authenticator which is dynamic. It will provide an extra layer against if your email becomes compromised.

People find security layers inconvenient. But losing your crypto is far worse.

Well I am not sure atm but after I opened my ticket they putted tpay into maintenance, instead of anger I am trying to understand them. But yea some of their behavior is not okej.

They updated their site recently so “bugs” can come. I will keep you guys updated if I got my tokens or not.

By scamming their profit will be less in long term so I don’t see why they should if they are takings their time to develop the exchange.

I think they need more employees. Just a thought

Delay times are never ideal and there are many things that can be improved on.

Often when a coin has an issue they have to put the coin into maintenance in order to resolve the issues.

For many years (since 2014) it has been only a small operation - it was only last year that they experienced massive growth from 20 thousand users to over 2 million users.
Running an exchange is not easy and the skill and trust required means they cannot just hire anyone.

The resources available to an exchange like Cryptopia are not the same as an exchange the size of Binance which has millions of dollars in turnover daily.

They have many more coin pairs listed than most exchanges which create more work. Some of those coins are listed nowhere else.

They are a registered company and licensed with the FMA which means they are subject to a lot more rules and processes than an anonymous exchange located somewhere in the Ukraine or Russia.

You will find on public forums people are very quick to yell scam

Where can we flag them as scam on internet, please share places! We have to share our bad experience, we have to prevent other people to be cheated like us.
Others have to know there is no support and leaving coins there is a high risk! They are mocking on your deposits and transfers and you can lost months of mining in a second, relying on their fake reputation.

What about my lost BCH SV from the fork?
What about my suspended BCH?
What about the fake dead line to withdraw?
What about my anaswered 20 days (till now) ticket?
How did Polonies react immediately and have no problem with my BCH there?

Seems like only paid trolls are writing here...

Hi, I've made a TRX withdrawal from Cryptopia 10 days ago, and even by now, it doesn't show up in my Tronlink wallet. My transaction id 21924f6fa4a0c3891ff9575914118d7aa205c7d8f22c804ee41ba9e25184c05c, I opened a support ticket but got no answer.

Thank you very much for taking time in helping me clear my thoughts. Now I know it's a matter of time, good thing I only made a small transaction, have a great day Smiley
