it says its recognized as 285/380 28 compute cores im getting 181 stable overclocked gpu 1120 mem 1600 power is at + 8% in wattman 16.12.1
am i doing something wrong. And if use the 15.12 it just crashes so am i thinking i got a problem with my card and thanks for the info

200+ is possible on Tahiti based cards with 384 bit membus
380 and 380x - it's Tonga with only 256 bit membus

R9 280x is 384 bit memory buss - R9 380x is same with an updated BIOS and a bit faster RAM.

 I'm not sure on the 280x/380x offhand.

 285 was a very late addition with support for a later GCN version than most of the 2xx series used IIRC, no clue if there was a 3xx series equivalent.

I'm mining on a Windows Server 2012 (I know...I know).

In any case, I have 2x 7970's but the miner is recognizing it as AMD 280X ... Is there a command switch to set it to 7970?

 Same GPU, only difference is the R9 280x has slightly faster RAM by default and some BIOS modifications.

 Then you get the R9 380x that is another round of the same thing STILL on the same GPU chip.

I'm trying to get my cards up to what other ppl are reporting I'm running win 10 pro with 16.9.2 drivers which I had problems installing I tried to install 15.12 but every time either it gets stuck at 34% or black screen but with stock clocks my 270 is running 110 my 280 is 166 my 290 is 247 and 390 at 285 for some reason it seems both 290 and 390 are starting with a better rate than after 20 or 30 mins they drop down does anyone have some advice I also have errors on my log file maybe this is also a problem but I don't no what they mean

The difficulty for ZEC seems the same as before even with the faster 1070/1080 miners.

Proof that the Nvidia 1070/1080 probably account for 5% or less of the entire network GPU hashrates.

I think most GPUs mining right now are the 7970/280x/290/390/470/480 those probably account for 95% of the network hashrates.

miners are accustomed to amd more, and they can't do math right probably, also it must be said that the optimization come always faster on amd and this is not a thing to ignore

at the launch it when you need the best miner already optimized not when the coin is dumped
