Hmm, there is the possibility that a user took advantage of the custom css feature and inserted the coinhive code there so eveytime his name appears in chat, the mining code is loaded.
Mining through coinhive generates a very small profit and i highly doubt mex will risk his reputation for a few thousand satoshies
IMHO
i agree with your 2nd point. but im pretty sure its not possible to inject script like this via custom css - it must have been placed in the page script by the site owner/developer

It already tries to connect without ever going to the mining dashboard. after malwarebytes blocks its intrusive connection request, the rest of the pages on faucethub stop loading aswell.
please give people a choice.
I cannot see anything in chat. Cannot see any faucets listed or see transactions. It all just says 'Loading Payout Data...' or 'Loading Faucet List...'.
Personaly, i hope this coin-hive never gains any access in any way. my paranoia self thinks this is a massive ransomware waiting to happen.

Strange, since yesterday I cannot see the chat anymore on faucethub. When I log in everything is norrmal but the chat box is blank and I get a warning from kaspersky saying: coin-hive.com/lib/coinhive/min/js download blocked. Somehow the chat from faucethub is trying to download a javascript miner into my computer. Any info on that?
Yesterday FH was down for some 30 min,but after that it is continued to operate normally.Today site was down and when I finally managed to log in, chat is blank and paying data is just loading. As I can see faucets are working and send payments after claim even if some of them give connection error. I see some faucets use this option, some give user a choice and others hide it and use it without user knowledge which is in my opinion very unfair and should not be allowed. Regarding FH option for browser mining I have nothing against it as long as there is an option to turn it on/off. What about site problem mentioned above,no chat-not loading paying data and very slow page loading,is that have any connection with this browser mining which was added on FH?

Well, at least is a site problem, not on my end aparently, since a lot of people are complaining about it too. But I agree that the miner option should be optional. Strange thing is I have never had this problem so maybe it is some script on some user name. Or maybe they introduced the miner after this 30 min downtime.

This has nothing to do with coin-hive. It's server related and it started yesterday. I'm still deleting logs since yesterday and it should be fixed today. It's still deleting. I'm here for the community, so of course I'll give people a chance. I've created a page where users can mine the coins, it's not on the entire site. It's just a page. Come on guys, DYOR then post, lol. You think I'd be an asshole and force people load their CPUs without them knowing?

I thought so, see my post above, I said you wouldn't do that because you are a great person :asskiss: =) Back ontopic: Some stats, used 2 threads for like 5 minutes ## Starting point: Core 0: +48.0°C Core 1: +45.0°C ## Ending point: Core 0: +67.0°C Core 1: +66.0°C @ around 14 h/s, after 5 minutes, earned 22 EXP and 1.59 SATOSHI1.59 satoshi = $ 0.0000628 :D During this period, probably used x10 worth more of electricity So at this rate, you probably make like 18 sat per hour and 432 sats per 24 hours and 3024 sat per week (you probably won't have a CPU after a week =) ) *raw stats, will be different from one CPU to another

I do not think that at all Am lovinf faucetHUb still after clearing out cashe, cookies and everything in browser i get MB alerts about coin-hive on every page. Cannot access api request log after it was auto disabled when set limits were reached in my faucet. Was talking with another FO who said he was under bot attack. so i wanted to check and compare with analytics. Anyway. good luck and thanks for a reply. I'll just stay away for the rest of the day now

It's those shady site owners who put coin-hive secretly on their pages and didn't inform their users. It got flagged by MBAM and now they're warning every user who visits sites that run JS from coin-hive. Wish I could do something about it, but it's out of my control

Wish I could do something about it, but it's out of my control You are owner of FaucetHub so you can do whatever you want in this matter, just inform community that such behavior will not be tolerated and every owner who put coin-hive without warning on their site will be banned and account frozen. It is easy to catch such faucets, just need to check their code for coin-hive link or notice that some faucets paying without any adds. I am not say you need to do that alone, there are many members who will help report such faucets. Regrading site functionality, after few attempts I managed to log in-but chat is blank and payout data is just loading.

I think the miner kills FaucetHUB ... and for some reason some of the normal payouts show me as a referral ... lag is impossible.
