Do you mean that you give us free money due to this fork? And we can get both coin? Bitcoin and bitcoin gold? And btw how about if on 25th and the rest we get more profit? Are you going to pay us exactly the same amount as that or only on 25th?
I think Ethan made it pretty clear in his previous post that he is going to take a snapshot on 25th of all the balances. And he will distribute Bitcoin gold according. Ok then. So what is not clear is about the withdrawal, can we withdraw both coin? Bitcoin and bitcoin gold? And how does he distribute it? To our account on yolo or is there any bitcoin gold address? And how about if we withdraw our bitcoin within the 7 days? All of your questions been answered already,no need to keep asking. You know that if you withdraw your BTC from anywhere and not only Yolo, will not receive any of the upcoming coins. As Ethan/YD does the previous time, the same will occur/do and now. He will inform all of us,no need to worry so much... Btw what do you mean by this? And btw how about if on 25th and the rest we get more profit?

Is there a particular time when the snap shot is gonna be taken? Or is it okay to say that all balances on the 25th will get bitcoin gold accordingly.

Why are they asking too much about this now when before they didnt care about when bitcoin cash went out. They didnt even know that it would also be available with the bitcoin invested. I dont think you will have to worry about it.

I dont think you will have to worry about it. I'm very sure Ethan mentioned that we would be credited the Bitcoin Cash, so we did know that it would be available. I would have divested otherwise. It should be pretty obvious that the snapshot will happen when the fork happens, which is planned to be at block 491407. This fork is a 'friendly' fork so we know when everything will happen.

Hi, I am back from my hiking trip (yay, it was a great time, 7 days in the mountains) and now I have more time to look at Bitcoin Gold. Honestly there are a few things that are my concern: 1. Despite saying on https://btcgpu.org/ : "Bitcoin Gold has implemented full replay protection", it's not in the code yet (one day before the fork!) - see this bounty: https://github.com/BTCGPU/BTCGPU/issues/51. It seems they are copying Bitcoin Cash mechanism for replay protection right now. 2. The premining - well, everyone knows it now, "developers" of Bitcoin Gold reserve ~200,000 BTG for themselves. That seems A LOT and suggests the real goal of this fork. 3. I am always sceptical about new "Bitcoin forks", this again looks like another scamcoin, but if there is a chance of profit (for our users and us) we are handling it. So, the official statement about our intention to distribute Bitcoin Gold coins is still valid, but the following issues MUST be addressed before by the devs: Full replay protection MUST be implemented in Bitcoin Gold code so that we can separate Bitcoin (original) coins from Bitcoin Gold coins. Otherwise we would have serious difficulties estimating user balances and handling Bitcoin Gold coins, which would make the whole operation pointless. Cheers, Ethan

Other than that I am syncing my Bitcoin Gold node right now to have it ready by the time of the fork.

Yeah I know what you mean. I got a fairly up-to-date computer and CPU. But it took probably almost a week to sync the BitcoinCash blockchain. I think the reason is due to lack of nodes and the nodes are all over-loaded and bandwidth is capped. The original bitcoin block chain always syncs very fast after like 2-3 days or so. I think that Bcash and BitcoinGold should of just created a new blockchain with creddited balances as a premine, would of saved so much space and bandwidth.

Yeah I know what you mean. I got a fairly up-to-date computer and CPU. But it took probably almost a week to sync the BitcoinCash blockchain. I am at 55% after a few hours. It's not THAT bad, but I am connected to a single node only. There are not much more nodes you can connect to :-( The original bitcoin block chain always syncs very fast after like 2-3 days or so. I think that Bcash and BitcoinGold should of just created a new blockchain with creddited balances as a premine, would of saved so much space and bandwidth.
Indeed, and just use the current status-quo UTXOs as the initial state. It would be much less than the initial 150GB overhead. But here's an important thing: look at current open issues of Bitcoin Gold: https://github.com/BTCGPU/BTCGPU/issues. You will clearly see not only replay protection is still not implemented (and NOT being implemented by their core team), but they still don't have a timelock mechanism for getting coins from their initial 8k premined blocks. No testnet. Their code does not compile on all platforms. Simply speaking - it's a joke to me. Bitcoin Cash looks like a really mature project compared to Gold. But we'll do what we can, if the fork results in a stable Bitcoin offspring and they have a reasonable 2-way replay protection, we'll credit new coins to our users. If there is no replay protection, we'll just keep waiting and see what happens. Anyway, we'll try to adapt to the situation and do everything we can in best interest of our users' profit. But we are not magicians and our priority is running YD, not handling forks. If anything goes wrong, our priority is keeping YD and Bitcoin coins secure.

Basically I am getting conflicting reports regarding the replay protection. At first there was none, and then they added it, but apparently it didn't work by default so they removed it, and now the dev said he will add it again. I think it won't be until 2-3 months until this coin actually goes live because the way their current Github repo is looking, its no way stable. And I agree with you, why they have no testnet is just nuts. I highly doubt they will launch and it will be problem free. But since they are mining themselves its probably not much of an issue.

Regarding Bitcoin Gold fork: we have taken a snapshot of user balances (including investments). Now we need to wait for next move from BTG developers. That's all, stay tuned!
For those who withdrew funds from YD - based on BTG developers' statement you can safely invest them back to YD, the snapshot of blockchain has been taken at block #491407.
Again, if the fork is stable, we'll distribute BTG coins to our users. Time will tell. Right now nothing happens, developers are silent, there is no official statement, no real network you can connect to and their website is down.
Cheers, Ethan

New privacy features! While transparency at YOLOdice is something we are proud of, it conflicts with users' privacy a bit. By default all bets are public and one could easily read all the bets from the server, also bets of individual users. The other thing that people sometimes complained about is that whenever they place high bets, they are announced in Chat and other players immediately start chatting about them. In other words, some players expressed their need for a bit better privacy model. So... here it is: When all these options are enabled, players can play in a truly "stealth mode". The feature is now available for players at lvl 13+, but we might consider changing this requirement to allow more players to enjoy the new features. If you have any comments and ideas, or if you think the level requirement is too high, please tell us! Cheers, Ethan

We got massive feedback from our users and we changed the level requirements to use the new privacy settings: Privacy settings are now available to everyone! So basically everyone can hide his/her game stats and bets. Cheers, Ethan

Minimum invest is 0.005 BTC. Minimum withdraw is.... 0.001 I believe, minus whatever withdraw fee you choose, ether 0.0004 or 0.00015.

There is still no news about Bitcoin Gold fork. The software is just not there and the whole thing looks... bad. Nevertheless, we are ready to distribute BTG coins if devs manage to create a stable fork. So stay tuned. Other than that our recent Halloween Number Hunt competition is really hot now, and it lasts till Friday: https://yolodice.com/#bonusCheers, Ethan
