Keno is nice and I do like the idea of playing with people, but I suppose that means Keno could be slower so maybe 2 options. A single player keno for autobetting,,, and a big keno lottery thing that you can bet on, and you can have leaderboards like most wins, biggest total wins, and even sidebets like betting on who wins leaderboards!

Hi,

I've finished coding "bet archive" - a split that will allow keeping current bets in a small and fast table in the database, while keeping older bets on a separate device. This will enormously help us manage the data, and might make the bets slightly faster (but not much IMO).

So, later today, I'll need to take YOLOdice.com offline for max 10 minutes. I'll be posting updates so that you are not left in the dark.

1. Lottery - a PvP lottery has been on our radar for quite a long time now. The idea would be pretty simple - the more tickets you buy, the higher your chance to win the pool. The prize pool grows when more tickets are being sold. Not sure yet how long the rounds would be. Maybe 12h, maybe shorter, maybe a week, maybe random, maybe a few rounds at the same time. The main prize would get the most of the pool, maybe the second prize would get a small reward too.

2. Any other game - there are number of games out there. Do you think we could implement any? Keno, growing multiplier games, slots... There are many, but how fun are they really?

3. An original game - we have a few ideas for quite original games not found anywhere else that work in "provably fair" paradigm, have instant rewards, requires decisions when playing and could be fun. It's still an idea that would take same time but... could happen.

Update: betting is restored, everything works.

So now, even though the bet data is split between more tables, nothing changes for you, the players. You still have access to whole bet history. This works for both web app and our API.

Great updates thank you ethan and guys for keeping everyone up to date and informed! I think I can agree that if we ever bring back investor versus player we have to really examine how to make cold wallets and security work better. I think especially when public funds are all exposed with stats and numbers,,, it naturally attracts malicious parties. With transparency comes great responsibility!

When will it be developed again? in the near future after the wallet is cold, the commission mechanism is complete? I hope it will return soon too so please let us know when the investment can run again. I wonder if there will be anything new from the previous investment mechanism?

Definitely this one, it's always fun to play something brand new, and I think crypto gambling as a whole needs more originality to attract new players. Bonus points if this game has some element of skill or can be played in pvp mode.

I'm a fan of all of it. I'm personally a roulette guy. So I think that would be a fun game to pursue.

you got a point on here . thats how lotto work right ? more ticket sold = to more prize   . on freebit they give free ticket via free roll and wagger but the prize was still good  though i havent tried to win even i buy some ticket along with the free ones that i obtain. i still see small ticket hodlers that  won the game  . still , adding lotto on this site is a good idea so that users can have something new to check aside from the good ol dice game   . that is infact gambling sites were doing recently  , they add new games and ideas   .

Me too man I love roulette! ..I won a ps4 in a raffle on another btc site (That went to shit(prc aka betking)) playing roulette!!

** I think another cool game to as ethan said "kill time" would be the btc minesweeper style game if anyone remembers diggit.io was a great game but something like that wouldn't be very difficult and I think could be a lot of fun!

I would prefer the 2nd and the 3rd one simply because I do not like pvp lottery/raffle game Adding other games that are popular already is a good option as it wont be hard to get players because players wont need to learn something new. On the other side, adding unique original game that is not available on other place will be an advantage as well because gamblers love to try something new but it will take longer time to gain popularity compared to the other existing popular games.

The lottery would not be a bad idea however instead of winning money/bitcoins you should make it interesting. Basically I wouldn't do the lottery for a "Lambo" because for one its very expensive and would take forever to sell the required number of tickets but why not do it for a more desirable car like a Tesla Model 3.

Its much cheaper, the regulations should be easier to deal with since its the opposite of a gas guzzler and everyone is crazy about Tesla now since their stock price went parabolic.

The Model 3 is about $35K, so you can make the tickets $10 each and would only need to sell 3500 tickets to get the lottery complete. Should really bring in the hype for Yolodice.

the site has a 1% house edge so if giving away free tickets gets more volume then they profit more from it. so if a ticket is sold for $1 they can give a free ticket for $150 in wagers and they will average 1.5 times more money from each ticket given away for free than they will from the ones that are bought

They don't want to be known by their wives.  Just kidding. A car would be a big question.
Then, there will be taxes to pay if the winner will be in a different country. More payments.

I'm going to vote the 3rd option which is original game. Although it will be a big challenge for Yolodice to introduce a new game, but if it works well then it will give very good result as there is no other sites provide the same game.
Add new common games where we can find it on other sites is not bad idea, as long as there is something different on that games. Difference can be in case of its design and features.

its always been better to come up something that is pure original because right now , many site  ( old and new ) are now having the same games  . while some of them i find is unique  . yolo dice is already succesful with a dice game alone so i think the old players of this site will stick thru it as long as the site is still up  and running  . i can only suggest is to improve the current game and fix some known bugs even if its small  , to make the site smooth and free from complaints  .
