I run my 1080 mostly with 55% TDP (126W) +180 core (1809-1822 MHz) +1000 memory. Efficiency I get is 4.45 Sol/Watt (565 Sol)
This is my energy efficiency setup. I benefit mostly from the +1000 memory (P0).

I can go up to 640 Sol but it's noisy and not a great efficiency anymore. I use my PC while mining (via onboard GPU) so I'm interested in low noise primary.

@jarkle: What settings (tweaks) do you apply in Afterburner? I have the same numbers after restarting the miner while using Afterburner.

Hi guys,
is ping important in mining?
the latency that EWBF gives me is 250- 260ms .
does it affect the payment?
how many accepted shares should i have (in a minute or hour...) for 3-4k sols ??

Ping could impact how many rejected shares that you get but 250-260ms isnt too bad, the longer it takes your miners to get an update in the event of new work the more likely they are to be working on the old work.

I live in Australia and unfortunately there aren't any large pool nodes so I have to connect to pools in China or Asia so my normal ping is around 300 - 600ms.  But in general I don't see a large number of rejected shares.  It might be a tiny bit more than someone that was working closer to the node but I don't feel that it has a significant impact.

Also the number of shares is hard to quantify as the share difficulty of your pool could be variable and it will also be different from from pool to pool.  It will also be different from coin to coin.  If you let us know what pool you are mining with someone else will most likely be using it as well and may be able to give you an idea their share count.

Thanks a lot for your answer. i'm using nanopool. as i tried different calculators i should make 0.09 to 0.1 zec /day for 4k sols, but nanopool estimation says 0.075/day . before nanopool i was on suprnova, which was good but has gone bad recently (it paid me just 0.04 yesterday!!!!) so i changed to nanopool which had tested before and was better.another thing is that the help of nanopool says 1 share per 10 minutes for 5 h/s ... so for one of my rigs which is 880 sols, it should be 176 shares per 10 minutes , but i'm having 30-40 shares per 10 minutes!!! i just don't know what is wrong! couldn't blame anything else except ping... and i'm using EWBF.
should i change my pool to flypool or something else?  think i tested flypool and didn't have good results with it either...
the thing you said about rejected share is not a problem for me. as i've checked and seen, i don't have much rejected shares (almost nothing).
Agree with you about the ping , that it should just influence the number of rejected shares, but the thing that i thought and worried about is that sometimes it just detects a work and won't get an accepted share from it (and sometimes it happens a few times in a row) ... is it related to ping or it's something else?

@LoverAli94: I've used flypool and nanopool for some time to make a comparioson. Nanopool never gave me a high hashrate but the ZEC amount I was not what I was expecting. Flypool gave me a lower hashrate but the right ZEC amount.

About ping: I get 20-40 mostly. Sometimes when something is wrong I get around 200-300ms but my rejected shares are not really higher. I think in theory it's bad to have a high ping but it's not significant.

Is EWBF Support R9 390x ? I have 1080ti, 1070 and R9 390X  config already enable all gpu, but looks like R9 is not detected...

Anyone have the same problem ?

I ran my farm on an Exede SAT connection (never saw less than about 650 ms, usually closer to 700) for a couple years - rejects were still under 1% though barely so.

RELIABLE connection is more important than fast connection.

What's the probability of a Vega pushing more than a 1080 TI?

Which part of "CUDA Zcash miner" do you not understand?

CUDA is NVidia specific, so this miner won't support anything BUT Nvidia.

For AMD, you're probably wanting to look into the Claymore ZEC miner.

 To YIz:

I've yet to see ANY testing of the VEGA cards on anything but ETH - but the archetecture is Fury-like, they SHOULD be quite a bit faster than the Fury - and I'd *guess* the Vega 64 should be able to argue closely or exceed the 1080ti on ZEC hashrate.

Yeah, you're right, my rejected share are that low too, or even less. i just thought it may have other influences that i haven't heard or considered.

The probabilyti of Vega pushing more than 1080ti is 100%. No doubt vega will top 1080ti in hash rate.

Nope it's a GTX 1080 without Ti. It's a GTX 1080 Palit Super Jetstream.

hey guys, I need your help, just received my third gtx 1070 and a riser pci-e but no results of the card connected by that. why?!

the first 2 cards are connected normally to mobo, but this new card is connected with the riser.

maybe here is the problem? all graphic cards need to be run by risers?

thanks in advance!!

Did you power the riser and the card?
Is the card detected in Device Manager?

SWAP RISERS--

If you have 2 good risers, swap them with the new card.  Risers are not the root of ALL evil, but they are notoriously unreliable.  If you get the cheapest on eBay, expect problems.       --scryptr

yeah make sure its a POWERED riser too..

the card needs power from the slot as well as the PCI E cables

You didn't understand what I was trying to say. I have only 1 riser, so maybe this is the problem? Is not possible to get connected 2 cards in the motherboard and the third with a riser? The riser is quite good, 10 eur on amazon, trusted and good opinions

LOOKS LIKE A DECENT RISER--

Looks can be deceptive.  Risers are evil creatures.  I am replacing all my risers with newer models.  Brand new risers can be bad.  Also, mixing slotted cards and risers can be a problem.

Sorry if I am not too clear.  Some motherboards are finicky, and will disallow certain PCIe slots when another is in use.  Do all cards work when in a slot?  If you have only one card, and it is on the riser from the main 16X PCIe slot, does t work?  Check, if the riser does not work from the main 16X slot with only a single card, it is a bad riser.

The other thing, if your power supply is weak, the system may be unsuitable for that 3rd GPU.  Risers and worn out or low wattage PSUs are often the cause.  If your PSU is good, just swapping risers will often fix the problem.       --scryptr
