And don't forget to remove 10-12% CPU usage when GGS OC option activated.
That extra usage is for hardware acceleration. Can't understand. Simle overclock settings (clocks and voltages) needs nearly 1 core of 8 core CPU? Phymem and Hardware acceleration options disabled... F.e. Claymore miner sets clocks, voltages, PL and fans with using CPU only at start of miner. During mining thats no need to use CPU power for that... You are comparing Apples and Oranges ... both miners use a diff approach to reach the goal. Just a hint ... Clay has no GUI at all, GGS has a GUI and a lot of stuff is going on without notice for you ... Just my 5 cents on that ... I don't compare Apples and Oranges. as you say. GGS with disabled OC settings use the same amount of CPU power as other miners - 0-2%. But after enabling OC settings (not memory timings, not even fan control, only clocks and voltages) GGS start to use 10-12% of CPU power on 8 core CPU. On 4 core CPU it will be allready 20-25%. On 2 core CPUs - up to 50%. Don't you think that it's too much only for setting clocks and voltages?

I am running final optimizations for the next version now. All the stuff I mentioned previously has been implemented with some additional features. With the upcoming version, you can apply memory timing straps, and update and share default device settings with others. If you guys help me to improve default device settings, GGS can easily become the most powerful miner ever.

Just tell us exactly what you need. You want best setup / card / algos we found in order to put that as default or guideline ? Or I haven't understood what you need ?

On a Sapphire Nitro ITX RX570 4G I get instant Blue screen whenever I try to run optimize or Benchmark in Ethash and I get red 0% on Eth/Pascal. All stock bios/speeds Adrenaline drivers, Windows 10 latest updates. And unless I clear the files at /users/"user"/Appdata/Roaming/GatelessGateSharp, whenever I try to reopen the miner, it remembers the last state before the blue screen, starts, optimizing and crashes windows, in an endless loop. Any idea what's happening?

This probably means that GGS does not have a proper device profile for your graphics card's memory module. What do you see under "Memory" on the dashboard? There should be the name of the memory vendor.

Thanks for fixing CPU usage issue. Please, add possibility to enter memory straps from 1 string like they look on all bios editors. I just can't enter all fields from memory strap string taken from bios...

That's nothing compared to the trouble of implementing that feature. LOL As I mentioned, I already added it.

Great work so far, swapped my XMR machines over to your setup last night, gained me a decent 1200H/s more compared to Claymore miner, I am missing the option of using AwesomeMiner though as it makes it a ton easier to manage the servers but I can live with that for the speed increase. They have been running for ~8 hours, no issues so far, lets hope it keeps going. One thing I did notice, was that the default for my RX580 rig was not working, the intensity was too high for the 4GB ram, dropped it down to the same default setting as for my RX570 at it is running smoothly, I did notice that I did not get as big a speedbump on the 580 rig compared to the 570 rigs. 580 rig was ~30H/s more per card. 570 rig was ~70H/s more per card. Same settings etc, any clue on that? Just bad luck? The 580 machine has always been a bit slower than the 570 machine due to the memory on the cards, I am running custom bios though wanted to test things out before flashing back to stock as I would need to flash again if I switch to another algo again in the future.

Awesome, awesome. This is going to be awesome. I do have a couple of questions though. Memory timings section - how are they applied ? If you could also add a cancel button for the optimize section that would be good also I still havent explored everything yet, but without tweaking speeds are very good.

I would say it's most likely the memory type: Elpida, Hynix, Samsung, and Micron in this particular order of preference IIRC. Thanks for letting me know about RX 580 4GB. I will update the default settings accordingly.

Hes accessing the PCIE registers directly, which exposes nice things like timings and a bunch of other cool goodies Have to say its pretty impressive, my head almost exploded last time I was looking at the pcie memory space on the linux kernel
