Adding CLRadeonExtender for the GCN assembly... I just can't wait!
What's that?

It's a GCN assembler.

Hmmm, thanks for so detailed answer ))))
What it may give?

And what about my question:
Can we good optimize settings without USB watchdog? Any methods?

I am a man of few words, you know.  Wink CLRX gives you more control over hardware.
As for optimization, I wouldn't recomend doing it without a USB watchdog, unless you want to keep hitting the reset button for hours. Trust me, it's not going to be fun.

Well, you haven't turned on memory timing mods, so... Also, I noticed you are not using the latest version of GGS.

Actually, I prepared only two sets of default values for memory timing mods so far: one for RX 480/580 Samsung GDDR5, and the other is for RX 470/570 Hynix GDDR5. You can find these default settings in the DeviceSettings folder. I will work on other cards tomorrow, so no worries.

Thanks for your suggestion.

So i turned on the memory timings and update GGS.

A little better but not so much, total 870mh/s for a 580 8gb samsung memory.

Did you hit the "Boost Performance" button?

I'm sorry i don't see boost performance button i suppose you mean hardware acceleration i pressed it now and still 850 mh/s on samsung memory, i think it is not my gpu bios because i tried to buy one and the result is not as good as the one i have and my hashrate on claymore ETH is 30,5 Mh/s.

The "Boost Performance" button is the first thing you see on the dashboard... It is different from the "Hardware Acceleration" checkbox.

About the kernels; I think that both kernels for CryptoNight, GGS's and SRBMiner's are taken from SG-Miner-GM, which means that both are written by zawawa  Cool

The name yuo looking for is W0lf, sgminer using his opencl kernel.

That's right. That's why I gave him part of the DEVFEE. He was actually quite happy about that.

Actually, now I think about it, I did make not an insignificant amount of changes to W0lf's kernel.
In any case, I am quite happy with what I achieve with GGS so far. All the preparation is done for
kernel optimizations. I just embedded CLRX, matszpk's excellent assembler, into GGS, which should allow
me to do a number of interesting tricks. We will see...

I was thinking you were adding Lyra2z first , or whatever other algos  you decided, and THEN approaching GCN to try to have better performances on Vegas / overall..

On a different note, I jave reached 29.2 Mhs with  an rx 480 8gb Samsung so far.

A new button is needed btw, for optimization:
there is one for prioritize stability, make one for prioritizing power consumption and stability as well.

Lyra2Z will be written in the GCN assembly. Makes sense, no?

Hello, i just wanted to thank you for your advices, now that the config is ok, GGS is the faster miner for my rx580 armor mines, and the UI now also faster so it is the perfect miner !!! Smiley Smiley

That's all armor 8Gb? Memory is hynix MJR? What bios you're use on them? What intensity GGS set's? Please share your moves to achieve so good results.

Tell me exactly what happened again, and I will walk you through the installation.
Did you install .Net Framework 4.7.1? It seems like the installer is not taking care of dependencies after all...

GCN5 and APU-gfx901  ?

It's coming, it's coming. I am playing with the NeoScrypt kernel just to get my feet wet again with GCN.
It's pretty amazing how the OpenCL compiler screws things up craptastically beyond belief...

Hello, no it is not Hynix it is Samsung, yes all armor 8Gb.

To get this results i buyed this bios : https://mining-bios.eu/product/mining-bios-msi-rx-580-armor-8gb-samsung-hynix-performance-timings-652/

And this my config (1 day of tests, i'm tired now Smiley )

I have 2 mines with Hynix f ucking memories and i cannot get this results, i think that memory is just bad Sad The better i can get is 830Mh/s ... big difference with Samsung, but they only consume 95W at wall. If anyone can get better results please help us !
