The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I believe the altcoins that will survive in thw future are ethereum and ripple I guess. Ethereum is consistent in increasing its value and been the number one cryptocurrency and ripple is beig supported vy bigger companys. so I think this two will survive in the future.

Actually there are many coins that might survive in the future but Ethereum is the best one I think. And also litecoin, neo, eos, waves and monero are the coins that I trust most.

There is a large amount of alts will survive. Big platforms, like ETH, Waves, XEM has the biggest chances.
Absolutely agree about ETH Of course altcoins can last for a long time. For the altcoins I see will persist and potentially is ethereum. Because today many people are attracted to ethereum.

There are many altcoins which appear daily, but not all of them would be able to remain in the cryptocurrency market for years to come.  I believe that mostly the biggest cryptocurrencies in existence within the top 10 rankings

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin
Alt coins that would not only survive but also flourish are:

1)   NEO
2)   ADA
3)   PRG
4)   POWR

I think these coins would do great because in the long run as they are using advanced technologies on their projects. I would recommend you to invest in these alt coins.

Need to choose alt coins carefully. Only pick coins that are working on great projects and have good scope for coming years. I have a few in my portfolio. They are XEM, TAU, TRX and ICX in my portfolio. These coins have safe and sound future coming ahead. They can overcome hurdles in future.

Are going to be altcoins that have utlity. For instance Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Monero will most likely be relevant. Same can't be said for Mooncoin, Dogecoin, and other coins that provide no value.

I think the etherium is one of those long-lasting coins because until now the majority of projects still rely on eth for payment process So the opportunity for this coin is still very secure and could have a high exchange rate.

The altcoins will the most possibility to survive in the future will be the top altcoins in the market now. In time altcoins that have no use or value in the real world will start dying out and only those that can be used as a legitimate way of carrying out transactions and be used as a currency will survive. That is why when investing in altcoins, you should just stick to the top five

The altcoins that are the most likely to survive in the future at the top ten coins right now. Those with the best projects and coins that are actually useful in everyday life and that can be used as currency and as assets for investments. most of all these other coins with die out in the near future because they do not have any use in the real world

I agree with you about LTC and DOGECOIN, according to what I see and researched their future is very bleak, I think it will be difficult for them to survive. There is nothing they can give to invite investors. This is a problem and they should fix it. I think that's my opinion.

In my own opinion, CryptFcoin. will survive in the future, it tends to proffer solution to the inherent characteristic of cryptocurrency "volatility". risk management by tying the value of their coin to the real commodity of a well-established financial institution, with a good record of financial history.

, we do not know which technology may come to play in the future, no one say ethereum coming 4 years ago, yet now it is standing just next to bitcoin, who knows we might see a potential coin that could replace any of those. Ripple does have a chance as well even though it is highly centralized. The future of altcoin is still very uncertain, hence the key is to diversify one's portfolio
