Altcoins that I think will be able to continue to grow and survive in the future is now clear is ethereum, ethereum has been proven from all qualifications, the development of a routine and can be consistent, innovations that continue to develop so that always makes the investors more interested in it, security that has proven safe to store investment assets. These aspects have been able to prove that ethereum is a worthy coin to continue to exist in the crypto. It seems to me that the whole sphere of crypto-currency is very similar to a casino. It is very difficult to guess which project is better to invest. Too many factors and different conditions. Everything is constantly changing.

If you buy all altcoins in disorder, then yes, cryptocurrencies do not differ from conventional casinos. If you get the knowledge in trading, learn fundamental and technical analysis, crypto-currencies will no longer be such a risky gambling game.

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term. 

I think the 'classic' cryptos e.g. Bitcoin, Litecoin have built up such a community over so many years that they will not easily wane.

There are, however, many new projects which have just launched an ICO and built hype (or tried to) and have just flourished in the recent bull market regardless of their shortcomings. These fundamentally worthless projects in my opinion are doomed- as soon as the business fails (and MOST new businesses fail) the token is worthless.

There are so many projects in the space occupying different niches, that only the superior projects will survive in the long run. So you need to find projects which are fundamentally superior to their competitors in the space, and ideally have some previous experience in the field before entering the blockchain space.

NOIZ for example is an AI and blockchain assisted ad exchange, but unlike both of their main competitors, Adex and BAT, they will be utilising highly interactive banners, community based consensus (community voting), airdrop-based ads for rewards (earn NOIZ tokens for typing responses etc.). On top of this theyre already an established ad network!

Only such projects with superior fundamentals will flourish in the future. The market isn't infinite.

Yes, of course, Altcoin is more vulnerable to falling, but not all altcoin will fall. Altcoin which falls in value is altcoin which has poor quality so it can not compete in Cryptocurrency market.
I think Altcoin that has good potential in the future is Ethereum, Ripple, and Litecoin.
This is an altcoin that I guess will be a surviving altcoin and a strong coin.

not just the top 50 though, there are much of the coins that will survive because these developers are even relaunching their coins and those you thought were dead might just be resurrected because of the mass adoption that will happen in the later days. waking up the dead will make them rich eventually as poor investors will buy them thinking they'd better invest while cheap.

In my opinion, in 10-15 years on the altcoin market there will be only 1/20 of all those altcoins that are in stock now. The rest will not survive the competition.

In my opinion, well-established altcoins will definitely survive in future. These coins have been doing well for some time such as Litecoin, Monero, Neo, Ethereum, Ripple, Cardano and many more.

for Altcoin itself is a very reliable coin. because Altcoin is able to survive the competition that occurs and become a coin that is resistant to attack. therefore Altcoin is a mainstay when the market is a lot of fallout to re-generate the market into the original development.

Altcoins that can be survive in the future must be the top 10 or top 20 altcoins now, but many altcoins now are so successful, so they might survive in the few years because of the successful of the project and i believe Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin are in the future.

From what I observed from crypto so far. There are some coins that begin to improve their quality so that they can have good potential to survive in the crypto. Perhaps ethereum is the only altcoins that have long been pocketed of good potential and a bright future to survive in crypto. In addition to ethereum, there are now NEO and litecoins that continue to develop and improve their quality. So there is hope for them to continue to survive and have a high-quality price in the future.

i think altcoin whos based on medical or healthy platform can survive on the future, because healthcare industry was promising and uses by everyone in the world.
