I think the following altcoins will survive based on the product behind them:   Ether,  BABB, STK,  MINEX , LTC,  DOGE, NTY. But i have learnt not to write of any project till the project dies due to poor handing by the developers so because this  i will not pronounce any coin that is not worth holding.

I'm not sure that medicine is so effective in the world of cryptocurrency. The only thing it can do is to guarantee anonymity in medical services by storing data in the blockchain system. Or it can lead not falsified statistics.

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin
With the large cap coins, Ethereum will also survive and make a great impact on the crypto industry. New coins like Lympo and Docademic are also making progress to the top with their health related Blockchain powered ideology which will revolutionize the health system and its payment method.

Among the coins that will survive and will develop, I will allocate Monero, Dash and Eth. They offer really useful technologies, with a powerful team of developers and development prospects.

Real use case altcoins will survive the future, something that innovates upon something in the real world. We already have hundreds of alts that are currencies trying to compete with bitcoin but the token type alts that promise to innovate on the blockchain itself are the ones that will survive in the future. On my mind in future we will see a few altcoins which will be really in use. Most of these coins will be from the modern top of coins. So pay close attention to those coins that are at the top today.

Coins that have real life purpose, a using area will survive. Coins that only serve pump and dumps will die eventually.
ETH, NEO, WAVES, smart contract platforms, good POS coins, masternode coins, fast and reliable coins will survive.

I concur with you. Only altcoins which have real uses in our society will most likely survive for quite a long time. But those which are abandoned by developers and have no real purpose in life, are considered "shitcoins" and will not last in the future. In my opinion, I think that Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin, and Dogecoin will have the most probability of surviving in the future than other altcoins we know of today.

That is simply because they've been tried and tested over time and have gathered a lot of popularity between crypto-enthusiasts and ordinary people. Also, a few masternode coins like Dash, MonetaryUnit, and PIVX will survive too since they will always be demanded by people, for the simple reason of making a side income out of such coins.

But in the end, an altcoin will survive if it could keep up with the latest trends in technology, innovation, and most of all, active development. Hopefully, many altcoins could survive alongside Bitcoin for quite a long time. Smiley

Everyone's opinion about altcoins is tainted with the coins they have invested in. So market cap should give everyone a good idea of what will survive because of network effect.

It seems to me that the whole sphere of crypto-currency is very similar to a casino. It is very difficult to guess which project is better to invest. Too many factors and different conditions. Everything is constantly changing. Smiley Smiley

I'm sure and optimistic that the future of crypto will continue to improve, the negative number of news will not make all users leave, it is a test for real investors.

The top10 will still be around for a few years. The thing about coins is that is very difficult that they really die. At most they can decline progresivelly and little else.

I believe altcoins will survive in the future because a lot people used it to gain money that they can use to purchase things for their family. I think it will exist a long time because everytime and everyday there will be coins placed on the market so it's hard to vanish it and if they do that then it will take a long time to process it and truly happens.

the crypto money world has become very popular nowadays. everything is in a very variable market. some altcoins projects will surely be in the future. but some altcoins are condemned to death.

I suppose, in future, there will be even more altcoins than now - simply they will be different. As for the existing cryptocurrencies, I am sure that Ethereum will survive. The other alts-survivers will be NEO, Cardano, TRON, and Stellar, DASH, and Monero.

Coins that are on Poloniex and Bittrex are the well known coins and they have good volume and popularity and they will survive for a long term maybe for 2 to 5 years or even more. For the rest of the coin, if they can go through a year or so, it would be great achievement for them.

The altcoins that will survive are those with strong backing, honest and visionary team, a vibrant community and a relevant use. Sometimes you read about a coin and it's obvious that the coin serves no purpose, those won't survive long. This forum has witnessed many altcoins' success as well as witnessed many just vanish into oblivion...

I think there are a lot of alts already, which will survive for a long time. Most of the top10 coins for example, such as Ethereum, Litecoin, IOTA has proven a lot already, and don't see they could be replaced nowadays.

I think altcoin that will likely to survive are those altcoin bind in real use cases and compliant to every states. Take PundiX as an example. They tweakable settings in their product (POS Machine) for the purpose of tax and fees. In this scenario, they could easily adopt as to what is required in different area as a form of being compliant in TAX and jurisdiction limitations.

We are seeing a few of this coin who are ready to adopt in the future innovation and regulation including the tokenization of Gold (Jinbi) and the likes.

The only altcoins that might survive in the future are those coins with real world use cases and a fully working product. Remme is one such example that solves a real word problem in the way of providing passwordless authentication to users by generating a TLS certificate and storing it on the blockchain.

Thing is, we're so early in this space, and exponential growth is starting to make an effect, that any tech developed now could easily be superceded  within a few years. We're going to start seeing paradigms shattered one after the other.
