my favourite altcoin is definitly ethereum and i think he has the best chance to survive or even getting bigger than bitcoin ;-)
other ones are iota (tangle instead blockchain), waves (dex. etc) and substratum (net neutrality). but i am also invested in all of them, so it's just my personal opinion.

by the way, we should never forget, that >97% of all existing alltcoins which are on the market right now, will die slowly, so choose wisely :-)

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Developers are only creating icos because they see it as a fast-rich scheme. if the coin is not scam, then the devs will hold most part of them, and manipulate the price later and sell. If the ico is a scammycoin from the beggining, then they will just steal all ico money and run away, just like it happened in the past. As such, I believe that altcoins like Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Monero, NEO, Cardano, Gamecredits, and ZCash will most likely survive for many years to come. They have real uses cases in the mainstream world, and once they implement scalability upgrades, then I'm sure that they'll increase in usage and popularity within a short time frame. Technology is changing fast, and only those coins which can keep with the latest standards will be the ones that will make strides in the future. Just my thoughts

In my opinion, ethereum and Waves are the coins that have big potential to survive in the future.

For now, they have already got a good step into crypto world, so their survival is almost sure in the future, they will be continued to develop and be used for everything or at least, most of the things people need to do.

Why not? I think altcoin is working well to meet the needs of users. In addition, altcoin is increasingly focused on convenience, proximity and practicality to the people. I think that altcoin has great growth potential in the future and it can be embedded in the development of the contemporary economy.

I think altcoin is playing a huge role in the development of the blockchain industry. A wide range of gadgets, products are published and put into the idea to carry out projects of high practicality. Although there are still challenges to the industry blockchain in general and altcoin in particular may develop. But I believe with structure and platform security, security and transparency. It is an ideal condition for applying them to the development of macroeconomics and society.

altcoins that might survive in the future are altcoins that are more real in projects than the ones that have no project neither do they have a white paper. i am talking about projects that are real in the sense of products and in particular IT related products

The key of the survive for long term is the expectations. Any coin without expectation will dissappear in the future. You have to choose your coin for investment to this direction.

I do not think it's much more stable to see all the current altcoins are getting more and more down, but seeing the token etherium I think he's more stable to hold the price so it does not go down too much like the other altcoins.
Altcoins was always survive and we don't need to worry about altcoins if this gonna survive or not because we know it will survive and always popular for us. And ill think ETH was be best to choose if we need a altcoins we going to hold and need earn some profit.

Coins with real world functions have a good chance of surviving. SIA, Golem, SONM have a shot at lasting. Coins that are meaningless clones or forks of more successful projects will probably disappear

Altcoins that may survive? I think the altcoins that will be here in the future are the 3 altcoins that I have made with are Dogecoin, Litecoin and probably Ethereum, in my very own opinion I really think that these 3 altcurrencies will definitely survive in the future despite being underrated because of the mainstream, though LTC, ETH and DOGE are likely to be one of the faces in the market.

In the future, only those projects that will develop their product will survive, if people have already invested in this project, then people have believed in it, and accordingly the project was recognized, according to the project it is necessary to work on their product, which it represents!
And if any were to survive, such as bitcoin, it would do so with such a number of optimizations and updates, that would essentially make it a cryptocurrency radically different from what we now have.

Real use case altcoins will survive the future, something that innovates upon something in the real world. We already have hundreds of alts that are currencies trying to compete with bitcoin but the token type alts that promise to innovate on the blockchain itself are the ones that will survive in the future.

I also agree with your point that the real use case coins have a longest survival in the crypto. For example if it has a business related to the real world. We can also take the example of ROC coin which is a coin by a real life live studio. The users of that studio are increasing much faster and with the dividends the price will increase much faster.

There are many different coins with different ideas and targets. If a project does something useful for people and not only try to collect money, i think this project will definitely survive.

;)the survival of altcoins depend on some things. For example, if the coin have a solid development team and have a proper development, it would have a bright future in this market.

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future?

In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong.

Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term.  Grin
I also don’t think all alternate currencies could survive in the future because if we compare them with bitcoin and we can easily calculate that they are nothing in front of bitcoin, their valuation, potential, trust of people, votality is nothing in comparison with bitcoin. The only alternate coin that could survive and could stand something in front of bitcoin is etherum. It is the second most popular crypto currency and even valuation of etherum is also good so I think etherum could survive in the future.

Certainly, not all of them will survive. Yes, the top-20 cryptos will be used for many years. I also think that such less-known alts like Gladius, Credits, Napoleon X, and Crypterium (CRPT) will also live for long.

I think the ETH, NEO, WanChain, Elastos, Icon, Zilliqua, Cardano, Ontology could survive in this battle. May be not all from them, but they have a good chances. When 95% alts will die they could be in top 10 of 100 alts
