Gambling and Superstition

Haha I did not know there were other people like me who would do this stuff. So I always believe adding a number 5 in my bets. I have won so many times using it. Then I shall always wear my red color band that helps me a lot to win. I sit in the same position and then pop a popcorn just at the kick off. I believe if I don't my team looses. Then coming to drinks it's orange Gatorade for me and which I buy from a particular shop. And now I pray a specific prayer to help me win. That's all waiting to see peoples superstitions.

I don't believe in superstitions when it comes to gambling. Maybe its just coincidence that you won big that day because you got lucky shirt or drink your favorite Gatorade.

I just wanna know if you guys are supertitious when playing or gambling?

I will admit I'm very supertitious when going to a land based casino.
1. I choose the number of parking slot that I will park. Usually it should have my favorite number 111,777 etc.
2. I don't want to wait for someone if he or she is going to go with in the casino.
3. I wear the same shirt that I won big.

And a lot more..

How about you? are you sepertitious?  

It's sometimes can suggested to you, but personally I'm not believe it, it's just give you false hope and just makes you desperate if you taking it seriously.
Plus that's not reasonable, nonsense.

i do not believe with supertition even though I live in asia, a country have believe with superstition. everything in gambling it's depend on luck so if you lucky enough, you can win in gambling without do a ritual before you gamble.

I also don't believe in superstitions on gambling because the only ways to win in gambling is your determination and patience, even if you lose frequently it doesn't mean you lose hope in winning. You should avoid believing signs of any superstitions, because it might be the reason for you to lose in a long rounds of gambling.

you don't have to believe in something like that and you don't have to being a sepertitious. i sometimes just do it for the sake of fun only, and it works when you won the game it gives you more pleasure. choosing something and link it to a game to gamble like what op did are actually for additional entertainment i don't take it seriously.

I don't believe in superstition because in human being life time luck will be attained to us only once it's my belief. Even i tried many time like you but failed in all aspects of wearing the same shirt. Gambling is mainly based on luck, some time even you don't have any confident about gambling, than you will start making money through gamble. That's how it depends.

LOL, of course the same shirt will not win everytime. What is it, some kind of cheat like in video games? Like when you wear that shirt it will increase luck by some value? Gambling is not like a video game where when you wear something it increases your luck at something. We all have our luck and we win or lose will not depend on a superstition.

True,on playing different types of gambling games specially on sports betting it doesn't really need any superstitious beliefs in able to win but you will need knowledge and good research because if you are relying on that beliefs you are just like playing blindly.It doesn't make any sense on making it as a indication on how to play gambling.

There are some post that doesn't making a sense. Some people that believes in superstitions didn't exactly stated that it's an assurance thay they will win. It's just a simple designed so that they are not just placing a bet and nothing wrong with that so don't be harsh to those believers. They obviously know the possible output, it's just that they feel more luck when doing something.

Like this post. You are only looking for a tree and not on the whole forest. But well that is your stand so it's a fault if I will ruined it. It's non any making sense to give a wild comment top others just because people use superstitions belief in gambling.

I can say that I'm not superstitious in general especially when it comes to gambling. I mean for me there are two types of gambling, the common type where in you win on random luck and the one where you can excel if you have enough skill and experience. for those games that rely on luck, such as slots and dice, for me the results here are pretty random and you'll win if you get lucky enough. I don't think anything you do can influence the results there. now for those games like poker where you have to beat other players through skill, it's how you're playing your cards and not with what you do superstitiously. I don't believe in superstition

lol i don't think doing research and analyzing the game on sportsbetting considered as a supertition.
it is a fact! pretty much different when you bet without research and gamble blindly in sportsbetting.
a supertition done usually on a skill based games only i guess .

I did that before in tongits when my friends tell me that it could also pass the bad luck to other. I do exchange seat with my playmates/friends. There are also times that I saw some that when they are not winning and seems they feel uncomfortable, they ask for new set of playing cards for them to play with.

Some new superstition I heard of regarding th seat exchange or changes. But I heard and seen the changing of playing cards. I've seen this on poker tables I played on when a player asked for a new deck to play with since he said he was feeling unlucky with those cards. Though the other players stopped them because they were lucky, so the guy stood up and when to another table.

Well I don't believe in such supertitious belief's but my grand mother usually believes in those when she is gambling,
And some times she usually get's mad when she lost some money through gambling and put the blame on us because of her supertitious belief's.

Yeah, that happens because there are an infinate number of tries and for sure you will hit a number a lot of times but the number of times you don't hit it will be exponentially higher than the times you hit it. So, if you believe in a number and bet on that number, again and again, chances are you will lose more than you win.

Right,no matter how we tried on making a strategies on each game. Every game will always be different. We may win or may lose. But what's important is we enjoyed playing and learn when were best at.
