When we are talking about lottery its still gambling and even how hard you will follow up on your superstitious beliefs before betting it is just like on playing online games since theres no effect on our luck on winning a particular game and speaking of lottery you would need very very extreme luck.

There are times that I believe in superstition like before gambling I need to make something that is positive. And if I'm not feeling well, I'm feeling that I will be unlucky to gamble. There's a lot of it and most of them are just coming to my mind and thinks only about negativity in gambling. Most of those things I learned from my ancestors.

I will admit I'm very supertitious when going to a land based casino.
1. I choose the number of parking slot that I will park. Usually it should have my favorite number 111,777 etc.
2. I don't want to wait for someone if he or she is going to go with in the casino.
3. I wear the same shirt that I won big.

At first I was superstitous then stopped believing after doing it countless times because for me it didn't worked at all like putting my birth date on the lottery card. Here's my question for you by doing those beliefs did it worked out for you?

I tried this in the local lotto too, I've been betting on it for several years now and haven't won yet. I use the birthdays of my loved ones and never hit it yet. I don't think it affect the results or anything for that matter, it's just a personal preference and will not give anyone an edge over gambling.

I am superstitious but not in gambling. If I am watching my fav team sports that time sometimes I will be like this. But in gambling I never tried this, even this word does not come in my mind. Now I heard this word might be I may use this method in my next betting I am not sure. This is human nature if anything new comes in our mind we must apply that methods in our next move. Will share my experience later. 

Superstition? In gambling? I think nope. Because sometimes I've tried it in other but not gambling. I've tried it in somw game shows and all I can say is that it is suits. But in gambling i didn't even try once and I think it is not applicable. We all know that gambling isn't fair so do me I would not rely on superstition. And sometimes gambling doesn't give you any earnings but to get all of your starting money so how can you say that superstitions suits in that. All you have to use in gambling for me is strategy and positive thinking is all you need in able to win. Don't be so greedy and be fair even if gambling isn't fair. That's All. Thank you. Well ,having a positive effect wearing your favorite or same color of dress doesn't mean a supertition because he only gets exciting or having a self confidence but if he say that wearing same color thinks he have the luck its a supertition So that was a most common misunderstanding ,liking a thing is different .It depends on every person what he believes in .I believe on same color of shirt that gives me a luck a superstition for me.

well that's only building its confidence, thinking that just because he wear his favorite things will let them win the gamble, for sure its just a co-incidence and just a timing which allowed them to win, but its nothing related for sure its still luck and skills that you need to win from gambling.

It doesn't change the fact that's an important part xD
You always have the feeling of what's going to happen.

I laughed a lot at the “same colors of dress” I mean this is not a game that you earn some credit or enhancement from runs or something. This is real time. The outcome of the bet nothing to do with your dress. I this is the way gambling works, I guess every gambler will find a superstition solution to crack profits.

Clearly I could not find the any differences between what we are calling lucky moments and those supertitions. I guess gamblers have termed a new name for their lack. Anyway if we are able to find out and bring our luck coming to action by this way, then really nice to have.

We can't stop and blame those people if they are making and applying superstitious belief in gambling. It's just a matter of belief but I don't believe in such superstitions but I admit. I did once belief with some superstitions but that is not with gambling but that is with my everyday life. Then I found that it's just an hearsay that I keep on believing and it's crazy upon realizing.

wow i hope your six sense is work for you in gambling games so you can make money with that. but i think we need more than six sense to win the games. but i think i don't use any six sense since i am not feeling anything when i am playing gambling and i only play with easy. maybe for other people is related but its not for all people and only work with that person.

Superstitions has nothing to do with gambling luck and the one you should trust is your own skills, and important is you know what is your capability. Some people has their own vibes about superstitions but in reality it doesn't make sense at all, and in a long run it might disapointed you specially when you got loss in the gambling games you are betting. So you must be confident enough to bet with your own decisions, no other than to be relied on but yourself.

But actually superstition is being related with gambling and luck since the old age and if a lot of believe something you just cannot deny it because you don't have a maths or proof for that.

I have gambled a lot and do this thing yourself and see : Do some good deeds like helping others and try gambling, you will have nice results. Do bad deeds and you will see loss, now people say that's because of negative energy but who knows !

well if you feeling comfortable with something that you think that giving you some luck maybe that's superstition in terms of doing some lucky pick

The person you replied to stated that it might have something to do with confidence, which is a fair claim imo.
You'd bet differently when you're confident, which could affect the way you're playing, perhaps resulting in more winnings.

I could really see this work when playing poker against other players for example, maybe not so much with slots though...

Yeah maybe that is superstition because you are being irrational and thinking that rubbing a lucky rabbits will give you good luck. But I think mostly Chinese belief is superstition I think they are one of the most superstitious people in the world. And come to think of it, a lot big time gamblers are Chinese or with Chinese descent so I think they took superstitious seriously and take advantage of their culture believing in it specially gambling.

No, I don't believe in superstition. Even if one day, you win a lot of money by doing that, It's stay superstition. So I want only the luck, If i go to casino and gamble there.
The worst thing i hate it, If i follow some bets of other gamblers. or they follow me.
I didn't expect to win when i do that. so, I don't get any bet from other, i will do it with myself, Even if i lose. I don't feel bad so much.
