Well based on my experience and based on what i know there are certain individual bwho are very superstitious with regards to gambling they have this superstitious belief with regards with specific date and day, color of dresses or clothes to wear, money to use when betting from where it came from and to some individual they don't really applied superstition in gambling activities.

Are you one of those people? That's kind of a freaky gambling method, I am sure that it would scare some of the regulars.

It isnt freaky since we dohave our own beliefs into things and that things being mentioned does really happen on reality which means there are gamblers who do follow these practices and we cant do anything about it since those are their beliefs but for me i dont really believe such thing because if we arent lucky on that day then we will definitely lose no matter how hard you would do those rituals you do believe but still we need to respect those beliefs of others.

I grew up on a very superstitious culture and just accepted it as a part of life. What I can't accept is that letting superstitions dictate on how you do  things on your life, like gambling. You are relying your money on something unreliable,not really good for your wallet. But i get it, we can't help ourselves to believe that certain actions lead us to winning some cash. It's good but it also fucks with your psyche and concentration when you forgot to do your superstition and it leaves you wrong-footed and distracted, therefore making you prone to lose in gambling. I do not really do superstitions in gambling but I can't say that it doesn't have its uses but in the long run, it's luck with a little bit of skill and common sense that will win us the prize.

Just let the culture as a culture , don't mix things up , there's no benefit to do it right?
Be realistic as nowadays is a technology age, sains age where something that not makes sense proven has no impact.
And in gambling people really believe to do a lot of things that not makes sense , relying and believing on something will get you nothing but fun factor only.

Innovations are always good and funny when we are getting the desired results, at the same time gamblers go for some complete meaningless thing in the name of superstition and finding no results out of them.

Gambling is definitely a luck not a supertition that you will be winning spontaneously. It is truly a luck because you gamble by fun to entertain you. It is a gambling that you might lose some you might win some as simple as that.

We just need to respect those gamblers that are also believing in superstitions. But I want to disagree with you, gambling is not just a luck dependent, we know that there are some games that are like that but not all the time it is. There are games that needs skills and others are believing that when backing up with some beliefs that can be more effective.

Still it doesn't change the fact that any kind of ritual or superstition will never ever affect the outcome of your chances of winning. Yeah there is no harm in doing it, but there is really no effect as well. So it's just a waste of time to do as it doesn't even help. It just calms your mind and make you believe you will win.

It looks like you are talking about poker because other types of gambling don't really need your concentration and the state of your psyche doesn't have much of effect on the outcome. I think to have superstitious beliefs is bad for you in general, like you said, because it makes you even more confused then you are. I think we should rely on our skills not on superstitions, but also we shouldn't forget that without luck no skills will help us to win in gambling.

Why other such types of gambling doesn't need any concentration psychologically? In few games, we need to concentrate over the analysis of the player/team we are betting on, and in others like dice, we still need our concentration levels to be high because we might press the button wrongly and it may hurt if we lose. Being superstitious doesn't mean that anyone would be too much concentrative into what they have bet, but many things come into this. ~

But what if we win? I've seen a guy saying in PD chat that he hit the MAX button by mistake playing with 10% win chance and won. I don't remember exactly how much he won but it was more than 0.1. So, like I said, you don't really need concentration playing dice because there you can benefit from your mistake.

I have seen people not even watching the games they bet on, just because they think that if they would watch, the team/player might lose the match and they may lose the bet.

That's a superstition at its purest. And we all know that there is no sense in such behavior, but still it happens because gamblers would try anything to boost their luck. )

Correct. You can't influence the outcome if you are wearing your favorite shirt or you have your lucky charm. It doesn't have that magic to give you the favor to win. Unless you are fortune teller and you can see in advance what will be the winning number. But fortune telling is a different thing. Still for me I don't believed in superstition.

I will admit I'm very supertitious when going to a land based casino.
1. I choose the number of parking slot that I will park. Usually it should have my favorite number 111,777 etc.
2. I don't want to wait for someone if he or she is going to go with in the casino.
3. I wear the same shirt that I won big.

I once believe in those kind of things since I grow up with my grandma,
But now that I think about it,it doesn't really work sometimes I gamble with something that their supertitious belief that is bad for me then I won a few times so I really just believe in luck not in those supertitious rituals or something.

Talking about science with this type of belief, there is no scientific explanation on this. It's a pure speculation that you will be lucky for following this type of belief and we know that belief and science are separated and it is contradicting each others point of view. You got the point there as long as beliefs dont have negative outcomes in your life there is nothing wrong with that.
I think we dont need a proof just to believe we have own different opinions and superstition in some ways not only in gambling and its true .We are the one who still know how to use it in a right way.

If one got lucky and won because of superstition, then there would be no casino's today. Superstition does not have any effect of you winning. It only a myth and not proven by science. Its still up to you, if you are lucky then you will win. Its pure luck that you needed.

Does it really matter why people make certain decisions while gambling? I am pretty sure that no matter what rituals or superstitious activities the person does before they gamble they will only win if the system wants them to win. Non-believers will just have to go with what the owner gives them.

I wouldn't do any rituals or superstitious acts before gambling because first of all it's bad and there isn't any excitement while gambling doing that kind of stuff.
