Gambling and Superstition

I'm one of those who might say that believed in superstitions. I really don't know how I came up believing in it. Maybe my Father who is a avid gambling is a big influence to me. And when I go to a traditional casino, I would also wear my favorite shirt. There were cases I won, but I won't denied that fact that I only experience losses when I worn them. I guess its already in my mind and I can't just ignore them because its how I've been brought up.

Few of my cousins who are also gamblers are doing the same. Lots of superstition before leaving the house going to casino up the time they win and what they will do with the money they won.

Honestly, I don't believe on those superstitions, maybe that's one reason why people have a hard time forgetting their gambling habit.

Seriously doing all this you will become superstitious. A superstitious person is who believes in weird stuff according to his religion and a religious person doesn't gamble so if yoi think do all this will help you any way forget it there are many better ways of earning money don't waste it on gambling

Not all Superstitious people are religious, there are times where this person who believes so much on Superstitions are just part of their culture or just a passed trait by their surroundings. Also, there are some "religous person" who are also gambling, there are even some time where I've seen a priest gambling but just for fun. A luck based guess can never be connected to a non scientific one.

That's it religious people gambling for fun would mean you are doing something against the cultural rules playing for fun that is just a personal satisfaction what is wronf is wrong if you consider yourself religious then why even gamble as it wrong basicslly all these priest are nothing but making money churches only want to make money they have big big stadiums

However, still myths and some superstitious belief has to belief if the person have the religious thought more that normal person. In gambling most of the time luck factor  is working for anyone and they will a 3 or 5 bitcoins in that day. Choose with the bet option if you are lucky you will win for sure.

Gambling was and always will be a factor based on luck religion will never help anyone make money in real life and in gambling aspects. Gambling 3 bitcoins per day is too much how can you even gamble such a high amount in a single day it's better if you gamble with less amounts if you are a addict to reduce your loss gamble with less amount

superstition would always there as an extra entertainment in gambling , especially for those people who believe in a lot of myths and sometimes lazy to think realistics. gambling indeed about looking for the luck and do something impossible to win certain amount of money. unfortunately things never go as planned and expected in gambling because its uncertainty. superstitions has nothing to do with gambling realistically.

Exactly, we gamble to have fun and we can do anything even if others judge us that we will not gonna with if not realistic.
The satisfaction is the most important, when you have fun gambling you'll definitely gonna forget your loses and you won't get a negative results. Most of us are gambling basing on our luck and since there is no exact method to attract luck we tried different things just to have it and win the game.

then you could simply gamble on random basis , don't do whatever it is called superstition or whatever if you think clearly it was wasting time. unless if you have a lot of time to spend that's okay . i just talk about how maximizing your time , and having fun through gambling , do it randomly much better and fun for me personally.

This is a fact that the whole game of gambling depends upon the luck of the person who has bet some precious amount from his savings so as to double it by winning in poker or dice games. The loss or win on a particular day has nothing to do with the skills of the person therefore it is necessary to be lucky to have saved up amounts besides every time you gamble.

We are also the one who will decide on how much we should need to bet in every game. We are also ready that being a loser in a game is possible, so I just bet with small amount so that I can still have money in my pocket. I know gambling is really a risky game that we also needs to decides on how much bet we need to bet, don't need that superstitious belief. We also need some strategies in betting.

You can see how they are acting sometimes and that could be a hobby while they are playing or their superstition.
I do believe many people are doing it since it had been a tradition for many or somehow they win while acting like this or wearing something and that made them lucky for the day.

If that is working for you then it's good, as sometimes it also works for me when I'm crossing my fingers. Well this is just all of a sudden and there's no basis on it. We win for sometime and we lost most of the time.

That's because you still want to experience the entertainment in gambling, it doesn't matter if we lose as long as we are spending based
on the amount allocated in gambling. We can have fun if we still have control to our self because once we become irresponsible we will lose a big money

The reason why you still do it is because you have it at the back of your mind that since you win via that method, you can win again but the fact that it has fail once or twice shows that it was merely coincidence that it worked in the few times that it did. Superstitions is something we believe in when we don't have an answer to what we are facing at the moment and sometimes when we just want to believe in it ourselves.

I don’t think you, as well as many others in this thread, have stopped for a moment and think seriously about what you are saying: you are superstitious, so you do something you think brings you “luck”, like wearing a shirt, crossing your fingers of whatever. Then, what happens? You sometimes win but most of the times you lose. Think for a moment: what will happen if you don’t do that? Exactly the same: you will win sometimes but most of the times will lose. If you feel more comfortable wearing the shirt or doing whatever, do it, but I wouldn’t call that superstition, rather nonsense.

And no, of course not. Scratching the machine doesn't make the difference.

Well these superstitions sometimes will give us a good laugh but in reality to those gamblers that are believing on this thing are serious about it and we have to respect their belief. Wiw, that elderly scratch on the pyramid is just a real luck. I never experience this on my gambling career maybe if there are times that I'm in mood and I'll remember this, I'll give it a shot and will see for myself if this is helpful to me.

I think it doesn't hurt to be superstitious in a way because it could help you with your mindset. It's not just your gaming that is need, it's also the mind how you think you can be positive on the outcomes because for sure, when the reds (losses) occur, your mind and emotions will feel differently because you need to be positive no matter how hard it becomes.

I also believe on it, because all gamblers have same thinking whenever they win in games. They think they win because they use this strategy and mostly gamblers think, they win because they use their lucky charm, it mean they consider some colors and dress and sometime they have a lucky girlfriend that's why today they win in betting. But it is all our strange thinking in reality may be these things have no credit of our winning, because it is just our superstitions.

I'm superstitious and in gambling I try to stick to some signs to increase my chances of winning. Usually I dress my happy clothes or use my happy perfume.
