I really like MUSIC, because I am a musician by myself and its very hard for most independet artists to earn money with their talents. I hope MUSIC will change this with their awesome pay per view approach.

But from an investors point of view there is no reason to invest, because coins are mined in hyperinflation mode. So price will it have very hard to grow even if there will be really good news.

The MUSIC concept is extremely laudable. What I like most it that users and artists won't get victims of fast and extremely volatile pump & dump speculations with their hyperinflation model. Price will stay relatively flat for the whole lifecycle of the coin.

Until the difficulty bomb hits around 400 million coins and its super hard to mine. Heck, over the last 2 weeks alone the mining difficulty has risen drastically so coins are being mined significantly slower.

This coin, once the project develops furthers and we get more musicians on board, will reach $1+ a coin easily.

So sept 1st is tomorrow. I've seen most of the pools slowly update to the UBI already. Is anything major even happening tomorrow?
as to my understanding, the actual mining reward scheme will only switch to UBI at block 1,200,000 so thats more than 200,000 blocks to go.

Oh, got it. That's farther out than I had thought. Thanks for the info!

I have a question about the current mining reward. when price of $MC was about ~1c the network difficulty was around 7-8m and ~ nethash around 400Gh/s. My yield per day was around 500 $MC with a rig of ~143mh/s

Then the coin boosted to ~4c, had difficulty peaks of ~21m and nethash of 1,5Th/s. my yield shrinked to 230 $MC per day

Now we have 13m/730Gh/s wich results in daily earnings of 263$MC. It feels like somebody put a Th/s-rig in it for a day or two, left the field and earnings got stucked.

This is all according to whattomine numbers and to me it looks like earnings dont rise when difficulty falls...

btw: does somebody have a hsitorical graph of musicoin network difficulty?

When the difficulty bomb hits, the block time will increase and the system will be unuseable eventually. But the roadmap forsees to go away from Proof of Work before that. Similar to ethereum.

The difficulty increase that we saw recently has not increased the block time, therefore the supply of new coins remains stable. It has simply made the reward for each individual miner smaller, because more miners came in.

Unfortunately, with the pull back of the price a lot of miners dropped off as of the last few days and rewards aren't seeming to line up so hopefully it corrects itself. Block times and coins produced will slow down heavily otherwise looks like.

Blocktime equals Difficulty / Hashrate so right now this is 14,4 seconds. This is not longer than it should be, is it? Meaning there is 314 MC every 14,4 seconds.

The digital currency in the field of music was first heard, but the application of this technique in the field of music may not yet be fully understood
