Yes, the first batch was ordered mid April, 10 weeks passed end of June - so we are overdue. AFAIK, no chips have been delivered so far, so let us hope and see how much the delay will be.

I just wish that either KnC or BitFury or both for that matter ship on time so we can all forget about Avalon and BFL and their retarded customer service and business practices.

And I don't even want to think about the people that have 5 or 6 digit sums of money invested...

What happens in the - hopefully unlikely - event that Avalon can’t deliver the chips or they get delayed indefinitely?

This will maybe not happen Smiley

Update: 1st batch shipped

I got a a status update from Avalon - the first batch of chips has been shipped, including DHL tracking number. It should get delivered this week.

Important reminder: If you have chips ordered from the first batch and did not yet enter your shipping address and locked it - do it soon! Orders without finalized shipping data will be postponed.

How do we know if our order has been finalized? If there is a signed receipt does that indicate we finalized? I don't recall now what I did back then, but I do have a signed receipt with addresses.

Hello! I am interested in purchasing chips from batch 1 if someone is ready to hand over a few chips. Say 100 of them.
Pm me your price. I am in steamboats group buy, but nr 5..
Zefir, if i find one willing to sell chips, would you be willing to change his address to mine based on his acceptance?
If this is the wrong thread for this, where should i post it?

Yes, the signed receipt includes the sentence:

Code:
The address data for order #1 is final and can not be changed anymore.

When the shipping address is finalised and locked.

This. Plus once you finalized your shipping data, you can't change it any more => as long as it is mutable, it is not final.

good news.

No related info yet, will update as soon as I know more.

Since I have no information on how the chips are declared and therefore do not know what additional costs (VAT, customs, handling, etc.) to expect, I'll ship first and ask for payment later.

For reference, prices for sending parcels through SwissPost are listed here (rate: 1CHF ~ 1.07USD). I'll try to lower those costs by sending from EU, otherwise the prices listed there for Urgent parcels (handled through TNT global) are the worst case shipping costs to expect.
