good news. FTC pump coming!

*raises eyebrow* What makes you think so?

not OP, but I thought once that 20 bitcoin buy order at 1,000 satoshi on cryptsy was completely sold into someone would pump the price up. Surely someone investing so much had a plan? I'm not sure if they removed the final 9 bitcoin or if it was sold into, but now it's gone and the price is at 950. Not sure what will happen next but screw it, I'm holding.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Basic plan on FTC, (I don't have the money for this, otherwise I would do it), buy up 9 million FTC at current price over 3-4 months.

Higher a coder off Craigslist for $200, who has 280X and R9 290 GPU's. Get them to re-code neoscrypt Kernel to yield 80% more hashpower on AMD cards.

Finally, opensource the re-coded Kernel and Bin to the crypto community, redistribution of coins amongst smaller miners, will cause a decline in volumes offered for sale at the exchanges.

This will cause the price to rise upwards towards 0.00002BTC. Therefore, you have doubled your investment, without needing to wait for the block halving in 2019.

I noticed that major alts are really slipping now (LTC, Peercoin, etc). This is the time to be bold and brave.

if you are sure that is not a virus, you can change the file name of unfirmeddowload in the download folder to setup.exe and run that.

I started GPU mining Feathercoin this weekend for fun. Is it largely abandoned though? I posted a few times in the official forums for FTC and it seems pretty lifeless. This coin actually seems like it could be the true "hobbyist" coin since it appears to be ASIC resistant. My NVIDIA card is doing really well anyway. I have been mining over at https://ftc.theblocksfactory.com/.

What port needs to be opened on our routers to support an FTC full-node Core Wallet/Client? I know with BTC it is 8333, but unclear on the FTC port.

P2P port is 9336 (for testnet: 19336)
RPC port is 9337 (for testnet: 19337)

PUBLIC UPDATE
FTC software diagram and roadmap>

PS> This is not some general garbage diagram, what you see in CORE wallet software already works>
* Shapshift+Coinnector
* Multisig (not just from command line but from comperhensive GUI - we even have step by step tutorial for absolute beginners with multisig)
* Comments in blockchain
* Stealth Addresses - yes FTC support anonymous transaction and it works
* Neoscrypt - unique asic resistant algo, btw still resistant
* Bitmessage plugin
* Openname
and more

Besides that you can send and recieve coins like in normal wallet lol, but yes the look at the transactions is more sophisticated than in BTC wallet

Did I mentioned FTC is way faster then BTC and can handle more tx's per second?
