I really like your concept, few changes like more symmetric "F" maybe more vivid, catchy colours and would be great.

If a letter was to be used instead of a feather, I personally like this "F" the best :p but I still want the feather since it makes the logo unique. There should be a poll for feather or letter as the logo.

Not really sure what to think of this newborn, expect that I don't see it hurting anyone!
It seems kinda useless or extremely oversighted in my mind at the moment.
But this is the mantra we have been hearing over every new cryptocoin.
I for one am prone to dreaming that LTC would become the 10pence of BTC's one pound.
And as for now i see no need for a 5 pence coin I don't percieve it being impossible that it might come mighty handy some day, but only time will show.
Also as much as I love scrypt, I would have liked to see a change in algorithm just for the ease of paranoia over many coins falling over one vulnerability.

But overall really interesting to see what'll it be growing into... or what could be it's doom. And it felt kinda great to be solo mining with less than 1MH/s(scrypt) / 1GH/s(sha256). Got lucky too! 720KH/s has given me 3 blocks over the last 24 hours before this post (diff atm: 23.88328949) and the expected time at my rate for one block ~40h. Grin
Well guess it's back to LTC on full steam... or is it... maybe i'll have to wait for 24 blockless hours on feathercoin first. Lady luck might get offended. Cheesy

A PLEASURE!

Litecoin is currently 2 pence to the pound but I'm sure it will make it to 10 pence. Litecoin proves that there is room for more than one coin as long as it is positioned correctly.

Wow these coin designs are looking awesome!

I think a combination of the below 2 designs would be best. It would also be cool to have the Vires In Numeris written on the coin somewhere, and perhaps a map of the world integrated as well Smiley

I think the modern F and circuit boards of this one:

Combined with the basic coin design of this one (it looks very sturdy and physical - like you can just grab it I like that):

Ignore colour and flare and all the pretty bits that come later when refining the image - these are just design concepts for consideration as a basis for the final design:

Must say that out of all the design concept this satisfies my sense of style the most, maybe 'cause i don't like metallic colors that much in general.
Hope this refines to something else than the spectrum of silver/iron/gold.

Also not so fond of overuse of rounded corners on many of the other designs F-letters.
Even tho' these are also pretty curly... but it's a linear curl, not rounded off!
Maybe this is 'cause it reminds me how THEY round off my fiat money.
The EUR-spinoffs were also amusing for being so close to home, euro being my coin of choice when it comes to shopping necessities like toilet paper, cat food, coffee and cigs.
BTW/FYI even though we use euros in Finland we don't have the 1snt & 2snt coins in use at all, that gets me rounded up.
DISCLAMER: IMHO Roll Eyes

If you receive an email from me out of the blue, please don't blow it off as spam! I'm putting together community responses to all the FUD that's being spread about Feathercoin.  Here's the overall strategy:

1.   Collect answers from members of the Feathercoin community
2.   Put it together in a FAQ format (I’d like to have the rough draft done by the weekend)
3.   Post it the alt currencies
4.   Expect our critics to tear it apart
5.   Revise based on any feedback
6.   Post to a webpage
7.   Anytime we see FUD, we can just reference them to the webpage for the truth

If you received a survey, any info would be appreciated. If you haven't received an email and want to help strength Feathercoin, feel free to drop me a pm.

Let me know when you make your decision bushstar.

Maybe we could do the unveiling on CCE.  Smiley

Just send me a .png and .ico file (anything up to 200x200 will be fine, the site autos scales it anyway) and it would only take a few minutes.

Will do. I will make an icon package and put it on feathercoin.com for distribution once I decided which one is most suited.

Thanks for watching Smiley

EDIT: These can all be toned down and changed - it's really just the design that matters at this stage.

Been working on a pseudo 3D looking version Smiley (I know, there are those who don't like the shiny coin look - that can be changed easy peasy if required)

http://i34.tinypic.com/1zyv9zq.png

And then without the dramatic 3D tilt:

http://i34.tinypic.com/2hnar5x.png

And a final one to show the difference in lighting / colour (it can be whatever the judges want really):

I know I've already submitted about 20 designs, but it was a progressive thing and in fairness I actually started before the bounty.

I will submit my final 5 designs tomorrow morning as I've done a couple more this evening but I'm out at the moment.

I reckon I have until around 11am GMT to get my final submissions in. Thanks for all the feedback so far and for the couple of donations I've received for my efforts. It's greatly appreciated and really says a lot about this community.

Tomorrow I dedicate 2 more 2,000khash machines to mining this coin, which I believe will be the #3 behind BTC and LTC.
