So how is everyone liking all those people trying to scare people into crashing FTC's by making a big deal of the upcoming difficulty? lol
What do you mean upcoming? The difficulty increase the last 2 days has halved my daily coin output, that's a fact not a scare tactic.

I know, it's halved everyone who mine's FTC including me. But lately people against FTC have been making it a big deal with the jump from 40 to 80 something tomorrow. They don't realize it's already made 4x jumps several times during the first week. Not to mention even halving half the miners jump off after a big difficulty change isn't going to kill FTC.

Updated Client
There has been a updated client released for Feathercoin. This includes a new checkpoint to protect against 51% attacks and an update is included for IPv6 errors being reported from some users. This update was applied to Bitcoin in 0.7.0 through to 0.8.1. I expect the upcoming version of Litecoin will include this update.

You can download the updated files and source code from the link below.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178286.0

If you have any problems with the update please send me a PM and I will try to help you.

Yes but that means your coins are worth twice as much to you, since you have paid twice as much electricity for them.

-MarkM-

Unfortunately that's not happening, FTC is grossly undervalued on the exchanges atm. remember it takes the same amount of electricity per block as LTC, the only difference is the block yields 4 x more coins than an LTC block does, therefore FTC should be selling for LTC/4 and it most certainly isn't.

You didn't adjust for difficulty. The easier it is to mine the less electricity it takes to mine, so if its difficulty is half litecoin's thats another factor of 1/2 to apply to this imagine parity-price you are trying to calculate.

At the same difficulty yes you get four times as many coins for the same amount of electricity. At half the difficulty you eight times as many coins, and so on.

The same happens with GRouPcoin, it makes 50 coins per block, DeVCoin makes 50,000 per block, so in the long run, if ever they both had the same difficulty, you might expect GRouPcoins to basically function as 1000-devcoin denomination coins.

But as the difficulties are very different, it has actually been valued less than one devcoin per groupcoin for quite a while, though that looks like it might change soon.

The FeatherCoin Calc / FeatherCoin Stats feature is often down, because of the FeatherCoin Block Explorer.

Can you please fix this?

It is running on a local daemon. It should be updating better since yesterday as I updated the daemon. and the pages seemed to be loading much better. I found that often the page was stalling as the daemon seemed to take too long to respond. If it is still running slow let me know and I will move to new hosting.

When is the next difficulty jump?

Next difficulty in two days.

Cheers

All the 10s of coins I mined and received initially now seems to be a distant dream Tongue. Glad I got in early.

The operation of CCE should improve dramatically as of today.

After all the issues over the last week, and the complete meltdown last night, I have decided to push even harder and devote more time and resources to CCE.

It started today with the purchase of a major upgrade to the VPS.

Basically twice the server. 2x CPU and 3x the memory of the original CCE VPS specs.
