I think Feathercoin should start looking at a legit icon for the coin. The one it has now is nice, but it's stolen.

I'm new to the scene and have never asked for donations for anything, ever. Considering the current logo was taken from a 2008 jewelers logo, it most definitely needs changing, so I hope I have helped out. If you're feeling generous :

Lol to be fair, that's not the point. I mean, you're talking a cosmetic problem to the design.  My shiney gold $1 AUD coins are rather haphazard when it comes to smooth edges too.

But the FTC-FC is an issue, it's FC. Easily remedied I'm sure.

I'd prefer the second one if asked, over the current design. Which if you look at the original, is a rather blurred down version of jewellers design, which would have hidden such imperfection as jagged circles.

Still, it is the first offer I'm sure, hopefully we can all have input to opt for a unique design.

Im having a bit of trouble mining. I have joined the following pool and followed there exact steps; http://feathercoin.is-a-geek.com/gettingstarted

I am getting the following error message when I try to pool mine.

[09:49:25] - Miner failed to start. Make sure you have the minerd executable and libraries in the same directory as Feathercoin-Qt.

However if I solo mine that works absolutely fine. Could someone please help

I am offering a 2,500FC bounty for the best Feathercoin design. I know we have some very competent people here and there is a lot enthusiasm right now so I am you 24 hours to come up with a design. I will then choose the best one objectively before subjectively. After which the graphic will be compiled into the clients.

It must be at least 256x256, be a PNG image, have a transparent background and use antialiasing, so no jagged edges.

Vector graphics will of course be accepted

second one with this "F" logo is quite unique and old school looking in a very positive way, i like it. In terms of the coin shape i like the last one with thicker frame, offset, something like btc coin shape.

So ideal connection for me is "F" logo with last coin shape.

I thinkthis really a good idea. Coin design its not hard to make and i think enyone could do this on your own, its not really hard. IMO more variety of designs is better to choose from. People should post their ideas and community can choose the best one.

I think, that second one was better, but in my opinion "F" letter should be looking more "light" like feather or it should be F with smaller feather somewhere.
