GPU mining is more profitable than CPU, i know.
But talking about electricity costs? I've to spend a lot, right?

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

The earnings from GPU mining will pay your bills with something left over. CPU not so much unless you mine CPU favourable coins.
Assuming its a Radeon card and not nVidia.

Good, thank you a lot for information.
I think to continue to mine XPM with CPU for contained costs of current.

does anyone know where i can get the official windows binary, without all the installer crap?

i tried extracting feathercoin-qt.exe (an installer) from the website using 7zip, but it couldn't give me just the client executable within.

i don't want to build from source, but a simple zip of the current windows binary/binaries would be nice.

nevermind...

i used vmware, did the stupid install process, then moved the files i needed and deleted the vm.

i wish more developers would think of "portable apps" when uploading their stuff for release...

got a wallet error after updating!

11Db Exception and FTC not transfered

Googled it and found that people were missing transactions after following the fixit post on the website forums.  I don't know about you but this does not inspire using my time and money to invest in Feathercoin mining.  To top it off the fixit procedure required me to download the entire blockchain over again.  If this is going to be a regular occurrence after wallet client updates then this crypto has some SERIUOS fucken problems

I use MXCNow as my FeatherCoin wallet. I haven't had any transactions yet, however I thought this might be an option for you to try as your wallet to see if transactions still go missing.

That happens when the old wallet gets run on the new network. This will be different in future as we have reinstated the CAlert system in this release to allow us to notify users through the client. Sorry for putting you through this hassle. It will be better in future.

Now for some good news. The market has reopened Smiley

copied from Feathercoin forum:

"I am a holder of FTC as well as a believer in the FTC community. I always felt that in order for FTC to thrive, merchant adoption is key. MtGox, Bitpay and Coinbase have yet to add Litecoin to their system. This only means that Feathercoin is still in “the merchant queue” indefinitely. In lieu of recent events that have taken a toll on Feathercoin’s ‘value’, I have decided to take matters into my own hands and create www.altcoinbase.com. Altcoinbase.com is a simplified, generic, merchant tool for altcoins, similar to Bitpay or Coinbase. At the moment, only FeatherCoins will be accepted for payments."

A sad attempt to boost the value of a worthless coin.
A sad attempt to put down a coin that consistently has the 3rd highest trade volume on BTC-e week after week.

Now lets talk about your own worthless coin efforts, perhaps the readers need to be aware of who you really are:

That "worthless coin" you describe is worth about $0,12 each according to http://coinmarketcap.com/. And on some websites even more, https://crypto-trade.com/trade/ftc_usd. That ain't bad isn't it?
