Next difficulty will be about 20, based on actual hashrate (last 500 blocks) (it will propably grow so diff will be higher). Difficulty will change in about 48h or less.

Me and my CPU have been mining feather coins almost all weekend! Excited to see where this goes... this is my first real experience with crypto-coin mining... cool to see the numbers trickle in. I hear FeatherCoin's hashrate is up to about 600 MH/s... Litecoin is hovering around 11000 MH/s... getting closer to 6% of the Litecoin hash rate. Also, assuming 1 KH/s in litecoin = 1 Mh/s in bitcoin; the litecoin network is up to about 1/12 the hashrate of the bitcoin network... so in total, feathercoin has snapped up around .5% of the total hashing power between litecoins and bitcoins. Is that a correct interpretation?

Anyways.... this is fun!

Is the time to next diff posted anywhere?  Next one will probably be a huge jump...

I just made a site with the following:
  • Current Block
  • Current Difficulty
  • Expected Time to Find a Block
  • Estimated Network Hashrate
  • Estimated Time to Difficulty Retarget
  • Projected Next Difficulty
  • Total Coins Mined
Check it out: http://benhohner.com/feathercoin/statistics.php

Time to Retarget    1 day(s), 12 hour(s), 19 min, 53 sec
Estimated Network Hashrate    560,049 KHash/s

Growing steadily. Tomorrow the difficulty will be double than today.
For comparison, Novacoin's difficulty is 87.947 and Litecoin is 374.946 at the moment.

Aha, I've been having a couple reports of it not working, which were baffling because a bunch of people can still get on.
It must be IPv6. I'll look into it, thanks Smiley

Would it be possible to put the source code for this under GPL and put it on feathercoin.com ? Together with a block explorer. So that everything is in one place.

For most of the other alt coins you have to go to several places to get this info - Feathercoin could stand out with everything in one place. Nice and tidy.

The plan is to bring it together under feathercoin.com. I am hoping to get most of the tools I have used for other coins on one site for FeatherCoin.

Are you talking about the official forum linked in below or another one?

Do you have any details from Sophos?

+1 !

Very nice site! I'm glad to see many projects developing around feathercoin.
I agree we need simple and clean interfaces, interest toward feathercoin is growing and it's useful to have informations gathered in one place. Good job!

The RBCex exchange now supports Feathercoin:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=172373.0

I'd like to be your trusted intermediary for exchanging FC for BTC, LTC, TRC, BTE, and/or BQC.  There are no fees (tipping is appreciated Wink ).  All orders on the books at RBCex are 100% backed; all transactions are anonymous and you'll get a new unique address to send to me each time you send funds to maximize the privacy of your transactions.

My stales were very high, while I was mining on fc.dontmine.me, about 5-6%. I thought that I will try other pools, it turned out that best pool is: https://featherpool.com/ (0% fee) only 0.5% stales!  Wink
