Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

It looks like some kind of circuit breaker tripped on bfx. no trades for a while.
I can't even cancel my orders... came back online, someone dumped 1K coins and went off again. This is not good. WTF, BJA? ? At least if you make some kind of factual representation regarding current events, you could be a little more accurate. It appears that Bitfinex came back on line for about 2.5 minutes, and during that time, around 1000 BTC were traded... but they were NOT merely one player dumping coins, but instead there were a lot of trades back and forth between approximately $219 and $223. Sorry, a thousand coins were either market sold or hit their ask price. UPDATE back up to $223 Yep... Bitfinex, keeps coming back online for a few minutes, and then going back off line.. They seem to be having some issues trying to and or maintaining their attempts to keep it up at the moment.

Looks more like a tripple bottom @ 80-90$ is incoming, let´s hope that this one will hold. Otherwise even longterm holders like Bitcoin Jesus might throw in their towel, if they haven´t already done it, just like every sane person. Bidside on all excanges is laughable. The main problem is that there is still no fresh money comin onto exchanges I wonder how those funds like Pantera who bought @800$ are feelin now....

I wonder what will happen when Finex's trades resume.Maybe a slight increase in price as people buy BTC to get the fuck out of dodge on other exchanges.

I think it's time to become a realist. Selling some coins here seems very reasonable.
We're at one of these (beloved) crossings, everybody likes to talk about in bitcoin. "Either it'll be worth nothing or a lot".
If the blocksize debate will not be solved (soon) in an attractive way, I tend to the first.

I see, "buy low, sell high", is considered "dumb" in cult like investment groups..... I really hope that large holders are all in the same cult as you, otherwise they might soon have problems selling their coins into an almost non-existent bidside....

It will be fun to see what happens when coinwallet.eu starts to spam the Bitcoin network, they announced that we will see 30d delays in transactions(startin at the beginning of Semptember IIRC). Everyone who hasn´t his coins on exchange already might have a problem to transfer em in this time, just in case we should crash. On the other hand, Bitfinex is lookin like it might walk the way of Gox pretty soon.... Anyone who is lookin to cash out or just to sell temporarily should stay away from them IMHO.

Kim is for sure the reborn Nostradamus, announcing that the China bubble will pop AFTER it has clearly popped weeks ago will just give him more credibility. Does he have a PAMM account?
