It’s an old vacuum now. It’s broken so it’s probably only worth $40k at this point. LOL I got the shit scared out of me at a Starbucks LBC meetup. I was sitting with the seller and two cops came in and then two cop looking dudes in suits right behind them. They just bought coffee and left. I though I was buying from a drug dealer. LBC? I swear reddit has been taken over by legacy finance guys. Nobody has a clue about Bitcoin (or the reason behind it) there.
Is this the last place on the Internet where people 'get' Bitcoin?
Are we the only ones that will keep the lights on?
Pretty much, the last one in this site can shut the lights off. Wtf BSV is on 7th spot.
More proof the sellout is backed by institutional fiat. Yep...I went to their github...downloaded their wallet (which only runs on Linux). Far too many dependencies that I did not have to get the thing to compile. Figured I'd wait for someone to come out with one you don't have to compile on a Linux box.
Did Satoshi only run Bitcoin on Linux?
Classic maneuver, add unneeded dependence with vulnerabilities in them. Dec. 15 Closing Price: <$3,000 - 0 (0%) $3,000-$3,200 - 0 (0%) $3,200-$3,400 - 0 (0%) $3,400-$3,600 - 0 (0%) $3,600-$3,800 - 0 (0%) $3,800-$4,000 - 0 (0%) $4,000-$4,200 - 1 (20%) $4,200-$4,400 - 1 (20%) $4,400-$4,600 - 0 (0%) $4,600-$4,800 - 0 (0%) $4,800-$5,000 - 0 (0%) >$5,000 - 3 (60%) Total Voters: 5 Looks quite bullish to me: If this isn't a double bottom, then I don't know what is. Now that's photoshopped! #usefakebirthdateforultimateopsec
Hah, I almost posted mine is next month for that reason, but since this account is only psuedo it doesn't matter.

Mainstream media still pounding on the bitcoin slide, bitcoin crash, bitcoin doom. Whatever. It sounds like an orchestrated setup. The winter might be shorter than we think after all.

ok ok i'm a paranoid I admit it, its habit.. share as little info as possible online, its just ingrained in me, I have to live like this, its a burden , I mean everyone likes to share stuff online now, but when I was growing up privacy was more important, and I don't know, just have a inherent distrust of the share all on social media type thang. Assuming you are not in a high opsec environment, cash bought scrubbed pcs from 2nd hand pc fairs, running Tails, run from a USB, RAM scrubbed on disconnect, connecting to a satellite from a moving vehicle on a motorway style, then Google and the alphabet agencies are all up in your shit anyways... but just leaking your info out there it just feels wrong to me. Coincidentally, has it ever occurred to anyone that the mothership , I mean company, of Google is Alphabet Incorporated then we also have the "alphabet agencies" its almost like a cruel joke they have played and displayed boldly in front of our very eyes the alphabet agencies incorporated, boom, the biggest survellience machine ever in human history, so vast that the gestapo would have jizzed in their Lederhosen at just a 10% of their capabilities. To compound the hilarity, the situation is that not only are they in our homes and monitoring everything we do (Google et al) but its to the point where if it were to be taken away from us (internet, connectivity, smart devices social media etc etc) people would have a absolute an utter mental breakdown into hysteria and be unable to cope, I mean they would have to have concentration camps full of the derranged and mass counselling distributed amongst the inmates until we are all rehabilitated. I mean Huxley and Orwell would be absolutely smug as shit about the whole situation, high fiving each other over tea and mescalin. I dunno, i'm stoned and paranoid I'm kinda half kidding but still I ain't sharing birthdays or name days.. just in case, I am sure at least half of you are utterly untrustworthy i'm kidding of course... I wouldn't trust a single one of you! Pesky Bitcoiners!

What does everybody think will happen to BCH & BCHSV?
Assuming (as we all think) ‘our’ original bitcoin remains the number one, what will happen to the above mentioned shit coin’s in the mid to long term?

I recommend Ayahuasca, towards that end. This has been somewhere between the dumbest thing I've ever done and the worst thing that's ever happened to me. Drugs are definitely in order.

TPTB will try to back SV, we will see local news saying it's the true one soon.

I don't think it will be short. We need to pay for the irrational exuberance of 2017. The people literally handed tens of billions in coins to a bunch of more than dubious ICO's. The teams behind each one are doing nothing but spending all that coins to pay for their HUGE monthly expenses and salaries. Almost no income. Fuck, it sounds exactly like "the system" we were trying to avoid. The only hope is that they have already mostly depleted the funds. But I don't know how far we are from that moment.

Haven't you realized yet that bcash is ... not serious about any of their supposed technical criticisms of bitcoin...
You are 100% full of shit on this point. Visit the world some day - it's a big place, with wonderful and varied experiences to be had and knowledges to be gained-ed. I have been around long enough (and paying sufficient enough attention) to recognize that mostly speaking, the BIG blockers (which would include the bcasher crazies) are the ones who are mostly full of shit, and they use their technical criticisms of bitcoin as a pretext to attack it and to pump bullshit snake oil. Largely their true agenda is to ruin bitcoin by making bitcoin easier to change and therefore fucking up bitcoin's governance.. which makes bitcoin difficult to change (in its current state of affairs). Of course, there are exceptions to any broad generalization, so you are likely to find people (perhaps even your dumbass naive self- if you really were to believe your own bullshit), who really believe (hard as that might be to believe) that there is some kind of technical flaws in bitcoin .. blah blah blah.. but mostly those are the dumbasses who are listening to a bunch of bullshit and buying into hopium propaganda. Yeah, not only do you not understand the codebase (as you admit),
Irony meter pegged. I don't think that there is irony, diptwat. My point was about the sound money aspect of bitcoin, and you edited that part of my response out. You don't have to understand code in order to understand value propositions of bitcion, so get over any kind of bullshit attempt to lord over any technical knowledge that you and other computer science educated folks might have, when they don't seem to understand the BIGGER picture, including the sound money aspect of bitcoin that differentiates it from other cryptos... name one that is even close.... go on... do it. ( yeah right bcash? yeah right bcash sv? those are not even close to bitcoin even though they try to use the name to spread disinformation and act like they are the same thing - and better) LN remains voluntary and relatively small and experimental...
So you concede that LN has not yet demonstrated itself to be a viable mechanism for scaling BTC. Fine. I am not conceding anything of the sort, except perhaps that adoption and testing takes a considerable amount of time, and likely more time when working within largely open source systems that provides a variety of options and is still being developed and tested in a variety of ways. Lightning network, bitcoin on chain, segwit and a variety of other bitcoin related features are still being rolled out and adopted and switched around.. takes time, dude.. takes time.. but progress seems good too, and ongoing.

I recommend Ayahuasca, towards that end. This has been somewhere between the dumbest thing I've ever done and the worst thing that's ever happened to me. Drugs are definitely in order. Skip the dreads and terrors of the tea, and go straight for the DMT, businessman's holiday in and out, bang bang wtf man.. it will take your mind from your pain.... It will take your mind from everything tbh lol, don't do the synthetic shit though Tbh I am kidding, I cannot advocate it to anyone, smoking that DMT shit is just too profound and bonkers to be suggested willy nilly to folk. I enjoyed it (most of the times)

I'm wondering where the weeeee thing is from exactly? is it actually a thing that people say sometimes? because I also saw it in a Japanese anime called Rosario + Vampire, in that show there was a bat that would always go weeeeeeeeeee a few times every episode. I thought it strange at the time.
Perhaps weeee is Birdperson language for "I am dying inside".
