Only a plain bagel at these coin prices boys.

You should have had pancakes!  Torroidal functions are much harder to simulate than circles; you're glitching the simulation.

My bank just locked my play account where my most (actually all) FIAT investings located. Called them, she couldn't point out the reason but she said they'll get in touch to inform me.

I am afraid the reason is Bitcoin...

use several banks. i use one specifically for crypto, its linked to coinbase and Gemini and its the only account i have thats associated with crypto. thats its only use. when i cash any out i set aside what the estimated taxes will be and put that into a cd at the same bank.

Hah, speaking of CD's, I used to have them and roll them over every few months and had called ahead and told them not to roll one over and I'd be in to pick it up the next day. I went there the next day which was a friday an hour before closing and they had rolled the CD over despite my call and then tried to say I had never made that phone call so I stood in front of everyone standing in line and told them all what kind of theives the new Credit Union owners were (It had been bought recently after I had been there 20+ years) and I told them to cash out all my cd's and give me my cash and they said we can't till monday and I told them I was going to call the cops on them and made them open the vault they had closed an hour earlier. Fucking pricks, cost me a ton in fee's and wiped out all my cd gains for years. Interest always gets eaten by sneaky fees they always manage to hit you with. Credit Unions are now banks as well and being run for profit.

W0w, nice fees too. wish I had me some of that!

On the ole simulation topic, calm me old-school but I'm sticking with the whole God thing.

I am a confirmed agnostic, I freely admit that I cannot know for sure if there is a god or not as I would have to be that god in order to know if I existed. I believe if there is one it exists outside our universe and could have possible created it but we will never truly know so it is not even worth the time to argue over it.

I was keeping my cash at home until this month actually.

Kept them at home more than a year because the political situation is pure shit here in my country. But then I couldn't resist and put them in my bank account again because I lost so many trading opportunities between USD and EUR currencies. The interest rates are also around 4-5%/year here for USD (you could get %10 in August) which is better than many.

My USD balances are slowly leaking to btc anyway.

I don't like banks. I hate them but at this point I still need them.

Safety deposit boxes, I think they are worth it in the long run for cold storage of fiat.

And as was stated earlier using many banks is a good idea, hell I keep getting offers of 2-3 hundred bucks just to open an account. If that doesn't tell you how much they are making on us then nothing will.

BTW with all the mentions of "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" I had to download it to check it out. Smiley
fuck, its in russian!

AFA the best scene of running months on coke nothing beats Good Fellas in my opinion.

Wait you guys don't? I'm about to grab some breakfast in like half an hour in case you needed to know.

I was gonna EAT but I opened this fucking thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning Bitcoinland. Back in the frosty north with my mouthful of titanium. Got in late last night, just woke up.

Going sideways again, I see... currently $3768USD/$5005CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Time to make some Mocha-Java then head out and buy some Bitcoin. It seems the best buying opportunities this year always happen when I'm out of the country. This time I get to participate.

Sold some a few weeks ago for over $8kCAD to pay for the trip. Now I get to buy some back for a little more than $5kCAD.

Thank you Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Network Momentum
A new leading indicator for Bitcoin price during its major market cycles

Very good reading. Thanks for the interesting link.
These new (for me) blockchain analysis tools have the flair of ingenuous thinking.

Some more good articles linked from there:

A long term indicator for market prediction. It is aimed at separating hodlers from traders, trying to account for lost/unredeemed coins. It doesn't use moving averages, so it's in some ways uncorrelated to other popular indicators.
https://blog.goodaudience.com/bitcoin-market-value-to-realized-value-mvrv-ratio-3ebc914dbaee

Another indicator, more traditional in a way, since it does use timed averages.
https://woobull.com/nvt-signal-a-new-trading-indicator-to-pick-tops-and-bottoms/

Two slightly older papers laying the foundation for NVT Signal.
https://medium.com/cryptolab/https-medium-com-kalichkin-rethinking-nvt-ratio-2cf810df0ab0
https://woobull.com/introducing-nvt-ratio-bitcoins-pe-ratio-use-it-to-detect-bubbles/

I'd merit you, ssmc2, but I used up my quota of sMerit for legendaries, and I'm only left with a handful of candy for ordinary guys. Have this as a replacement token.

My gut for doom told me we hadn't bottomed yet. And we hadn't. We're considerably lower now. But I have no excuse for not selling at the top. And neither do any of you. So sue me.

Or look at John Conway's game of life.... simple rules make complex behavior.

Cellular automata were an eye-opener for me. Suppose you've heard of Rule 110 also?
