Venezuela is one of the cheapest places in the world (on record) to mine bitcoin because of the really cheap electricity prices. Anybody feel like going to live there for 12-18 months & setting uo a mining farm with me?

If I was younger and single I would bite your arm off.
Unfortunately I am neither and will have to make do with my tiny GPu rig costing more on electricity than I am making in coins here in the UK.

Maybe you should listen to this first. https://ledarsidorna.se/2019/02/our-woman-in-venezuela-annika-hernroth-rothstein-this-is-what-happened/

That chick has balls, hot too! I don't think she will go back there again.

That is not a country you want to goto now I'd say.

Thanks for the personally-directed cake offer...  feels pretty real to me, and I can kind of taste it, too, but I'm thinking "meh" about the condition precedent of sharing such random, irrelevant, attention-whoring and unimportant personal information, like a teenage girl (idea stolen from Ibian  Tongue).

New Bitcoin and Ethereum Liquidity Indices Go Live on Nasdaq With Ripple Liquid Index for XRP in Final Stage of Development

https://dailyhodl.com/2019/02/25/new-bitcoin-and-ethereum-liquidity-indices-go-live-on-nasdaq-with-ripple-liquid-index-for-xrp-in-final-stage-of-development/

Quote
Nasdaq is now sending real-time Bitcoin and Ethereum index level information on its Global Index Data ServiceSM (GIDS). Brave New Coin’s Bitcoin Liquid Index (BLX) and Ethereum Liquid Index (ELX) launched on Monday, a week after Nasdaq announced it would add the new indexes to its data suite of 4,000 indices.
Brave New Coin CEO Fran Strajnar says the audited crypto indices will provide pricing benchmark information for crypto traders as the market still shows significant prices disparities between exchanges and countries.

“BNC’s ‘Liquid Index’ (LX) indices are part qualitative and part quantitative, factoring in the stability and quality of constituency as well as the volume, book depth, tick size and other factors from the qualified market participants, to calculate a fair global value for the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum, expressed in USD, every 30 seconds.”

Hey, Gyrsur - you seem LN conversant. Maybe you can help me with something I've been puzzling over. 1ML (https://1ml.com/statistics) publishes something they call 'Updated Channels (24h)'. Are you aware of a definition of this term?

Because it’s February 2015 in the Bitcoin price cycle you big goose.  That’s like saying transactions are lower than 2017.  Well duh.

Come back in February 2020 and measure against February 2016.

And yes we are way ahead of February 2015 - thanks for asking.

apologies! just added the sig ad for posts of the Bitcoin Big-Mac-Index which is a project I'm working on and to reach a balanced cost history there.

If I post comments and other stuff here I won't add the sig ad manually to my posts.
