The more you learn about crypto, the percentage of bitcoin you hold in your portfolio grows.

INDEED  Cheesy

US national debt hits new milestone, topping $22 trillion.

Paying it back becomes less of an option everyday.

Printing it becomes more of an option everyday.

We need more than just an insurance policy.

The inevitable solution?

Sound, hard money.

Bitcoin.

I'm going to counterbalance some of the jbreher negativity with a positive comment:

jbreher is a net asset to the WO thread, and I'm glad he's here.

I need to admit, with some frustrating (OpSec-breaking) hesitation, that I jumped on the tippin.me Twitter band-wagon.

Goddamnit.

Take that Vitalik!

Google knows that there's only one coin that's here to rule - "BTCitcoin"!

Does anyone have a link to the actual tweet?  I could not find it on Vitalik's stream of tweets.   I saw it in other locations as a picture, so it could b a fake, right?  or Deleted? Or just me?

it is a fake news item/meme https://twitter.com/CryptoScamHub/status/1097861843782197250

True; it's not original. I should've confirmed it before posting here.

Oh well, you guys may take your merit back from the post... (that is if you can! Grin)

Chickuns=shitcoins???

To be absolutely clear, Yes. LTC in this case. Considering dumping most of the rest of my LTC bags this season, as I seem to have gotten myself into a bit of a first-world problem in terms of meeting my IRS obligations this year - Nothing I can't handle; I literally have a quarter-million fiat "Rainy Day Fund" just for these sorts of possible events if absolutely needed - Not about to crack that piggy-bank, so-to-speak.

What I learned this year.

1) Making quarterly estimated tax payments is to your benefit, if you know you will end up owing.
2) Taxation is theft, Goddamnit.

Australia probably doesn’t have any gold because it sold it for beer and bug spray 30 years ago.
I don't think bug spray is going to be very effective in Australia.

cannot quote ^^^it properly.
It's not mining elitism, it is how it works since Satoshi made it public.
If you think that owning btc makes you or anyone else a contributor, no it does not (in a POW system), but it does in a POS system where you mine using your stake.
IN POW system miners and node-owners control the system.
Simply owning btc is OK, but you are effectively cut off out of all decision making that might affect your btc.
This is just a statement of fact, nothing personal.

You are taking a technology centric view and ignoring economic soft power.  UASF proved the strength of economic hodlers.

No, it did not. That battle was never fought.
