What's your thought on the Taycan?

Not interested in it. Like, at all. Has zero appeal to me.

Too big and heavy?

What the hell is all that about?

Just another Satoshi wannabe with website, advertising, a story behind and willingness to convince people (and government institutions).
Since he cannot really prove anything, he's just another fly near the "I am Satoshi" pie.

There's certainly plenty going on to distract the average Briton from the real issue - socialism must be put to bed by hard money and corresponding individual sovereignty.

the only explanation i have ( and i am no expert in this field) is that TRUST is such a big issue for china, since there is this culture of cheating and now they hope that "blockchain" will somehow make it easier for them to trust companies (for example).

The prime reason is of course to increase their control and oppression. They've now announced there will be a governmentcoin.

But the trust thing is something that doesn't cross the average Westerner's mind but does sound like a pretty desperate issue there. You'd think with all this unity under the calm guidance of Winnie the Pooh they'd stop being so fucking bent but clearly not.

However no one's been able to adequately explain to me how you enforce and maintain the link between something's tokenisation/blockchain entry and keeping it irrevocably tied to the physical product until it ends up in front of you or inside you.

as i understand it, cheating has not the same level of moral/social disaffirmation as in western culture. it is more viewed as a sport. (not saying they are all liars, not at all saying western culture is superior.)

i highlighted your last sentence since it seems to be the crux of all this "blockchain" bullshit. bitcoin (the token) is native to its blockchain. a physical object like a car or a diamond or clean milk/food whatever can never be native to a software database. how do you know somebody in the supply chain isn´t cheating anyway?

Careful, I frequently get accused of racism when I point out their divergent cultural mores around truth telling.

guilty. hard to discuss without overgeneralizing.

The Bitcoin blockchain is not bad at holding money, great big gobs of capital, and is very bad at everything else. (except maybe timestamping/notarisation)
Other blockchains can't even hold capital, and are very bad at everything else. Not enough proof of work.
Which is why people who value their capital in fiat are so frightened that they try to subvert Bitcoin not least with these long-repudiated scams of 'blockchain-not-bitcoin'.

None of these corporations are getting out of the 'ice age' unless they adopt Bitcoin. Not 'blockchain'.
Entertaining anything else lends them some hope, which is unrealistic and unkind.

on blockchain tech
It's a meaningless fad.

Agreed. I've heard very few worthwhile use-cases for "blockchain tech". When companies say "blockchain", they usually mean "broadcast everything to everyone and expect them to store it", which doesn't scale and isn't a new concept anyway. The real application of blockchains - decentralized timestamping - can be very useful, but it's not a holy grail.

It reminds me of this (replace "cloud" with "blockchain"): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ntPxdWAWq8

Nothing has changed because Pooh has embraced blockchain. That is still just a way to accumulate more bitcoin cheaply.

China's Industrial Information and Development Center presented the updated Cryptocurrency Rating. EOS is still in first place, while Bitcoin is in eleventh place. From the interesting: Throne took the second line from Ethereum, but Ripple moved from the thirtieth to the twentieth place.

Nothing at all is interesting in that rating. Roll Eyes

to me its existence is interesting. and the motives. considering the tech, bitcoin should be the only entry on the list. weird.

Something may have change: some people's expectations (and dreams). But they are too fluid to be measured correctly, however, those may have (partly) caused some of the price / trend changes.

Proof is simple: If you can move one of the first bitcoins then you're Satoshi.
