Just popped in to tell you that I'm slowly getting my sense of smell back, never lost taste, but everything tasted bland and insipid. Had a big mac today and it tasted good (don't worry, I used the drive through).
Glad to hear you're doing better but a Big Mac as first food choice? Unless you're purposefully taunting health, I hate to be the realist but McD's does not serve nutrition, like.. at all, more like a toxic preserved colon plug that will feed on your struggling immunity. You may dodge a covid bullet and step on a Mickey D's landmine.

I have had almost no appetite, but this morning I woke up around six o clock (after going to sleep at about 3 in the afternoon, yes that's how much I sleep) and was hungry as a bear after winter, and had a craving for a hamburger. So, Bic mac and co, coffee with lots of milk, and apple pie. The biggest meal i have had for weeks.
Doesn't sound like the Flu... Good to hear you're alive. Any ideas on how you might have gotten it? Yes, my idiot brother went to a dinner party, one of the guests was infected, he then passed it on to me.

Organic growth, spam attack, or some processing deficiencies? There have been some arguments, recently, for some kind of preference for the growth of a fee driven model, and this could be part of a movement in that direction (that seems to be preferred by some peeps). Makes it more difficult to consolidate a bunch of small utxos, but how much (nearly free) consolidatings do people need to be doing? Hashrate dropped after the halving with about 30%. Blocks are currently taking an average of 13 minutes instead of 10. Unique about this halving is that we need to wait 1008 blocks (which now might take 9.1 days instead of 7) to get to the next difficulty adjustment. The difficultly will then be adjusted (downwards) based on the average block time over the last 2016 blocks. https://bitinfocharts.com/comparison/bitcoin-confirmationtime.html#3mThis alone explains fees 30% higher than before the halving. From the whitepaper: To compensate for increasing hardware speed and varying interest in running nodes over time, the proof-of-work difficulty is determined by a moving average targeting an average number of blocks per hour. Now, let me explain to all of you why the Swedish government is not closing down society and quarantining people/closing of areas.
This is a little known fact outside Sweden, and it rarely comes up in the debate. Neither the Swedish government nor the Swedish parliament has the authority to do that. The Swedish constitution guarantees all citizens the right to free movement in peacetime, no exceptions but one, people with a dangerous contagious disease can be forcefully quarantined according to the contagious disease act. But that only applies to specific individuals. And there is no such thing as marshal law in Sweden, not allowed by the constitution.
So, no matter how much people or other countries bitch about Swedens way of handling the crisis, nothing is going to change. You can change the constitution, but that reacquires two parliament votes with one general election in between. We might se a change in the wording in the constitution from just "wartime" to "war and pandemics" or something like that, but no such change has been suggested yet.
