It includes a move to target Putin ally Alisher Burhanovich Usmanov, "one of Russia's wealthiest individuals," according to the White House, and will include his super-yacht and private jet.

The US is also sanctioning Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, whom the White House describes as "a top purveyor of Putin's propaganda."
"The United States and governments all over the world will work to identify and freeze the assets Russian elites and their family members hold in our respective jurisdictions -- their yachts, luxury apartments, money, and other ill-gotten gains," the fact sheet said.
According to the White House, the individuals who will be subject to full blocking sanctions are:

    Nikolai Tokarev (along with his wife Galina, daughter Mayya and two luxury real estate companies)
    Boris Rotenberg (along with wife Karina, and sons Roman and Boris)
    Arkady Rotenberg (along with sons Pavel and Igor and daughter Liliya)
    Sergei Chemezov (along with wife Yekaterina, son Stanislav and stepdaughter Anastasiya)
    Igor Shuvalov (along with five companies, wife Olga, son Evgeny, his company and jet, daughter Maria and her company)
    Yevgeniy Prigozhin (along with his three companies, wife, Polina, daughter Lyubov, and son Pavel),
    Peskov, Putin's press secretary
    Alisher Usmanov

The US will also impose visa restrictions on 19 oligarchs and 47 of their family members and close associates, the fact sheet from the White House said.
That will target oligarchs "known to direct, authorize, fund, significantly support, or carry out malign activities in support of Russia's destabilizing foreign policy."
And the Department of Treasury will also issue sanctions on disinformation targets. That includes SDN Strategic Culture Foundation and associated outlets Odna Rodyna, Rhythm of Eurasia, and Journal Kamerton; SouthFront; SDN InfoRos; New Eastern Outlook; Oriental Review; United World International; and Geopolitical.
It will also designate "26 Russia and Ukraine-based individuals who play central roles in these organizations, enabling the Government of the Russian Federation's efforts to spread disinformation and influence perceptions as a part of their invasion of Ukraine."

Markets continue to soften today...except for oil. Crude futures are up significantly and were over $115 a barrel at one point today on heavy trading.

Bitcoins price sliding 4% overnight, down $1,800 and is currently trading in $42.1k range.

Guess I got Elden Ring just in time however

I just capped out level 90 in FFVIX. Got bored with Path of Exile after grinding a dude to 100. I've read mixed reviews of Elden Ring.

Love dungeon crawlers, loot upgrade grinders, crafting and meta stuff - things that really require an investment in time to reach the endgame.

I got bored with Monster Hunter World about 5 hours into the gameplay, FWIW. Can't seem to really get into Deep Rock Galactic either, mostly because the kids are pretty unforgiving and leave you to die if you're a retard learning the MP side of the game.

I'll let you know, will start soon but a mate of mine has already been totally engrossed by it and we do like similar games so here's hoping. I just finished Horizon Forbidden West too; can't recommend that series enough if you haven't played it, absolutely AMAZING story

So my wife just tested positive for COVID, I've tested and am negative. Slightly worried for her as she has a very weak immune system but she's vaccinated so hopefully help in that regard. Fun times.

It's probably omicron, as you too reckon. Vaccinated? "Just the flu", not even necessarily a bad case of it. Keep strong, stay safe. Better times will come. Let's keep that in mind in times of gloom. Meanwhile, comfort the missus with hot beverages and lots of love!

Yeah she's vaccinated as am I so in the best situation we can be that way. End of the day her symptoms (so far) are quite mild and nothing she doesn't really suffer from at least once a week (headaches, tiredness) due to her weak immune system and chronic fatigue so I'll just keep monitoring her and see how she goes but pretty optimistic that we shouldn't have any major issues
