Hovering right around 260... None of us forget 266.
Let's not forget 2/3s of coins will be mined by April 1st.

Could someone working in an exchange confirm that they are seeing unusual amounts of deposits and demands of deposits ?
I predict 500$ by the 1st of May.

The premium I'm paying@ Circle and CB over BFX and Stamp, despite no fees suggests that there is indeed new money coming in and not just long leverage.

Maybe earlier, dependence on what kind of news will come out.

300$ should be touched this week. There is a lot of buying and positive thinking on the market. We reached 260$ and it should keep going.

gbianchi : interesting work. Have you tried the same analysis with total bitcoin market value (also called market cap) instead of price, i.e. would be just price times number of coins issued?
almost the same

I thought we were supposed to sell the news???
Oh well, Monday should be interesting...
Btw, can someone post the text behind the pay wall? Thanks.
Agreed that it's been a while since news caused the price of BTC to go up instead of down. Good thing.

bitcoin it is worth its weight in gold.
Care to explain the current price of gold then? First you tell me the weight of a bitcoin. You're being facetious of course, but: We can in principle associate some minimum weight to abstract units that are the result of computation, right? We know the (currently assumed to be optimal) procedure required to generate / store / transfer them, right? We also know the physical limits of efficiency of implementing some basic elements assumed to be necessary for any program, independent of model of computation (well, I don't really know them, but I remember reading an article on this a while ago). So in principle, we could associate a "weight" per unit of Bitcoin, something along the lines of "minimum physical structure necessary to generate / store / transfer one unit".

Market having trouble getting through 1435-1445. I've lightened up my longs, don't want to get caught in a downdraft. Still bullish, just waiting to see if we can break through. I expect we will, so my motto for now is buy the dips.
